Background: A potent acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, donepezil is a cognitive enhancer clinically used to treat neurodegenerative diseases. However, its complete pharmacological profile beyond cognition remains unclear. The zebrafish ( Danio rerio) rapidly becoming powerful novel model organism in neuroscience and central nervous system drug screening. Aim: Here, we characterize the effects of 24-h administration on anxiety-like behavioral endocrine responses adult zebrafish. Methods: We...
Abstract Consumption of ultra-processed food (UPF) has been associated with several chronic diseases and poor diet quality. It is reasonable to speculate that the consumption UPF negatively associates flavonoid dietary intake; however, this assumption not previously examined. We assessed physical activity using accelerometers and a questionnaire in 33 post-bariatric patients who reported to be adherent (n = 15) or not 18) social distancing due the COVID-19 pandemic. Patients spent more time sedentary behavior (1.1 h/day, 0.1, 2.2; p 0.045) less moderate-to-vigorous (− 12.2 min/day, − 23.8, 0.6; 0.040) vs. non-adherent ones. Bland-Altman analysis comparing objective subjective estimates showed bias for of 2.8 h/day 8.5 min/day. In conclusion, were measures...
