Differential evolution is a high-performance optimizer that very easy to understand and implement. It similar in some ways genetic algorithms or evolutionary algorithms, but requires less computational bookkeeping generally only few lines of code. In this paper, differential implemented compared particle swarm optimization for control first-order process with time delay, using fuzzy PID, PID controller. The results show the scenarios are better suited versus other. shares ability algorithm...

ABSTRACT Background Venous thromboembolic events (VTEs) are the second‐leading cause of death in cancer patients, with an incidence 5%–17% lymphoma particularly higher those non‐Hodgkin (NHL). Existing risk assessment models (RAMs) like Khorana and ThroLy scores have limitations inadequately validated for NHL patients. Coagulation markers such as D‐dimer, thrombin–antithrombin complex (TAT), thrombomodulin (TM) show a potential predictive value cancer‐associated VTE but lack extensive...

Abstract Objective The causal association between osteoarthritis (OA) and bladder cancer remains unclear. This Mendelian randomization (MR) study was carried out to assess the potential effects of any OA, knee OA hip cancer. Method Genome‐wide (GWAS) summary data for were obtained in GWAS CATALOG, UK Biobank, FinnGen Consortium. Inverse‐variance weighted (IVW) approach primarily conducted evaluate relationships cancer, MR‐Egger intercept Cochran's Q test mainly used estimate heterogeneity...

Abstract This paper presents a new approach to modelling and control of hybrid systems with both continuous variables discrete events. Applying the fuzzy set theory, hierarchical structure consisting event dynamic system variable is constructed, which not only captures continuous/discrete dynamics but also handles uncertainties in states state transitions. The identification components developed, then synthesised by IF–THEN rules embedded interface. An example optimisation production line...

Surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is a vibrational spectroscopy method that enables the quantification of concentration small molecules. SERS sensing has been demonstrated in wide variety applications, from explosive and drug detection, to monitoring bacteria growth. Underpinning are sensor surfaces composed vast quantities metal nanostructures which confine light into gaps called "hotspots", enhancing scattering. While these essential for increasing intensity so analyte signal may be...

Gait recognition has become one of the common practices in multi-class human identification. It led a research stream to explore dynamics an entire silhouette sequence. In this paper, more intuitive identification approach using direct comparison features extracted from single frame is proposed; we refer as matching. The obtained vectors all probe frames are then fused together yield final output. proposed evaluated on standard CASIA Databases (Dataset B) and yields encouraging results.

Abstract The emergence of abnormal protein bands (APBs), also known as oligoclonal bands, has been documented in patients with multiple myeloma (MM) post hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. However, the incidence rate and clinical significance APBs remain contentious. Few studies have explored occurrence prognostic implications MM treated B‐cell maturation antigen (BCMA)–specific chimeric receptor (CAR)‐T therapy. Evolutionary optimizers (EOs) have assumed a visible position as important problem solvers because of their flexibility, versatility, and ability to optimize in complex multimodal search spaces. This paper discusses sparse optimization with special emphasis placed on mixed genetic algorithm-particle swarm (GA-PSO) techniques.

In gait scenes, the speeds of subjects (people) are slower comparatively to camera. This may cause a redundancy in frame. The objective this paper is study temporal frame GEI-based recognition and explain use down-sampling strategy as means for reducing number redundant frames. It argued that strategy, with reasonable sample rate provide necessary information, yields superior performance cases measured by learning efficiency. Despite its simplicity, resulting frames contain enough...
