Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is an important but heat-sensitive vegetable crop. The losses in tomato production associated with heat stress are aggravating further under a global warming scenario. present study was designed to investigate the comparative performance of genotypes high temperature stress. (191) were exposed controlled conditions (40/32 °C day/night temperature). Different morphological (shoot length, root shoot fresh weight, dry weight and number leaves), physiological...

Polyamines are low molecular weight organic compounds involved in diverse range of biological processes all living organisms.Seed priming is a technique that improves seed performance by rapid and uniform germination with normal vigorous seedlings.A laboratory study was performed to explore the benefits polyamines on seedling growth hot pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) Hot seeds were primed aerated solution putrescine, spermine, or spermidine (25, 50, 75, 100 mM) for 48 h at 25 ± 2 °C.Significant...

Background: Reactive oxygen species (ROS) have been implicated in the pathogenesis of various diseases, emphasizing importance antioxidants maintaining cellular homeostasis. Raphanus raphanistrum, commonly known as wild radish, has traditionally used for its medicinal properties, including antioxidant, immunomodulatory, and antifungal effects. The plant is rich bioactive compounds such flavonoids, isothiocyanates, vitamins, which contribute to therapeutic potential. Objective: This study...

Hybrid identification of 16 sunflower hybrids was confirmed using simple-sequence repeat methodology. Of 20 specific primers, 18 authenticated the purity these hybrids; remaining two primer pairs gave ambiguous DNA fragments. The results indicate that analysis for derived from crossing different inbred lines can improve accuracy selection, save time and reduce cost.

The maintenance of the quality and storage life perishable fruits vegetables is a major challenge for food industry. In this study, effects different temperatures, packaging materials time on stability capsaicinoids antioxidants, such as total carotenoids, ascorbic acid phenolic compounds, were studied in three commercially cultivated hot pepper hybrids, namely Sky Red, Maha Wonder King. For purpose, dry whole pods packed jute bags low-density polyethylene (LDPE), stored five months under...

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is facing various problems of yield such as abiotic and biotic stresses. The wild tomato species are excellent source economical traits which resistant to types stress quality characters that can be transferred into cultivated through intra interspecific hybridisation. This study describes the development inter intraspecific hybrid plants screens best hybrids. were developed by making a cross between tomato. In morphological traits, hybrids F1 showed...

A comparative study was done to determine the most suitable storage temperature for tomato paste at which there would be minimum damage product quality. Tomato samples were prepared, 0.1% sodium benzoate preservative added, stored 25 C, 6 C and -10 analyzed o chemical parameters as well subjected sensory evaluation 30 days intervals till 240 days. gradual increase in Total Soluble Solids (TSS) acidity observed during whereas pH ascorbic acid decreased. These changes more pronounced than C.
