Materials with an abnormal Poisson's ratio, including those negative ratio (NPR) and zero (ZPR), are important category of mechanical metamaterials, among which many exhibit NPR in all three directions. However, few them, especially the 3D materials, ZPR partial directions other Herein, a novel structure developed by orthogonal splicing 2D parallelogram honeycomb is proposed. Different from ZPR, spliced can not only but also different The analytical model established based on classical beam...

We present a method for evaluating elastic properties of composite material produced by molding resin filled with short fibers. A flow the is simulated numerically using mesh-free method. After that, assuming that spatial distribution and orientation fibers are not significantly changed during polymerization, effective moduli evaluated. The developed micro-mechanical mathematical modelling aimed to process optimization which results in product quality improvement.

Previously, the authors of this article formulated a physically and geometrically nonlinear formulation problem porous fluid-saturated medium deformation during fluid filtration (consolidation problem) in terms rate solid phase displacement change pore pressure differential variational forms. The developed consolidation model takes into account changes porosity permeability deformation. Deformation-type constitutive relations are used model. can be to simulate non-stationary processes soil,...

The main purpose of this investigation is to study the state stress layered rocks forming slopes deep river valleys. For averaging technique and a variant Variation-Difference Method are used. Because method, equivalent homogeneous properties elastic medium determined. paper has two parts. first one devoted analysis static stress–strain under gravity. rock mass in second part subjected dynamic loading caused by an earthquake. As result numerical solution raised problems, distribution at base...
