Hypervirulent and multidrug resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae strains pose a significant threat to the public health. In present study, 21 carbapenem-resistant K. isolates (CRKP) were determined by string test as hypermucoviscous (HMKP), with prevalence of 15.0% (21/140) among CRKP, 1.1% (21/1838) all isolates.
