Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is one of the highest-value vegetable crops worldwide. Understanding genetic regulation primary metabolite levels can inform efforts aimed toward improving nutrition commercial tomato cultivars, while maintaining key traits such as yield and stress tolerance. We identified 388 suggestive association loci (including 126 significant loci) for 92 metabolic including flavor-related by genome-wide study from 302 accessions in two different environments. Among them,...

In this study, the effect of rutin on fatty acid metabolism and antioxidant activity were evaluated. We found that capacity rutin-treated Caenorhabditis elegans was enhanced but triglyceride content significantly reduced. The reduction fat accumulation by also confirmed Oil Red O staining. RNA-seq analysis indicated regulated expression seven genes related to lipid in C. elegans. Among genes, acox-1.3, stdh-3, fat-7 associated with metabolism. Rutin reduced both fat-6 mutant strains did not...

A series of novel oleanolic acid 3-O-β-d-glucuronopyranoside derivatives have been designed and synthesized. Biological evaluation has indicated that some the synthesized compounds exhibit moderate to good activity against H2O2-induced injury in rat myocardial cells (H9c2). Particularly, derivative 28-N-isobutyl ursolic amide 3-O-β-d-galactopyranoside (8a) exhibited a greater protective effect than positive control 3-O-β-d-glucuronopyranoside, indicating it possesses great potential for...

Abstract RNA editing is defined as the production of transcripts with sequences different from those DNA template. Most previous studies have focused on organelles, while nuclear largely unknown. Here, we describe first example transcript in plant, BOSS regulates tomato flowering. The SNP (SNP1) located 5’UTR gene (the B alancer o f S P and FT ) associated early flowering, two produced by SNP1 show functional differentiation, where -β promotes flowering -α does not. Furthermore, these are...
