We develop a dynamic model where heterogeneous firms take investment decisions depending on their beliefs future carbon prices. A policy-maker announces forward-looking price schedule but can decide to default its plans if perceived transition risks are high. show that weak policy commitment, especially when combined with ambitious mitigation announcements, trap the economy into vicious circle of credibility loss, carbon-intensive investments and increasing risk perceptions, ultimately...

Easy and reliable tools for the differential diagnosis between idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) Alzheimer's disease (AD) are needed. In this cross-sectional study iNPH AD patients referred to Neurology Unit of University Catania from 1 January 2020 December 2022 were enrolled. The following brain linear measurements (BLMs) calculated: Evan's index (EI), parieto-occipital ratio (POR) temporal (TR). For each index, sensitivity, specificity area under curve (AUC) calculated....
ABSTRACT Background Differential diagnosis between idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) associated with parkinsonism (iNPH‐P) and Parkinson's disease (PD) may prove difficult when evaluating patients early parkinsonism. The objective of this study was to evaluate differences in mobility during standardized tasks iNPH‐P PD. Methods We selected 21 pharmacologically untreated PD patients. They all performed the instrumented Timed Up Go test at time diagnosis. Results Turning showed...
A study was carried out in 73 male or female patients suffering from mild vascular dementia. The experimental protocol involved an initial run-in period (14 days) and subsequent double-blind, randomized treatment with 300 mg buflomedil placebo given orally twice daily for 90 days. At the end of this period, all received a further days and, thereafter, no another efficacy monitored using rating scales neuropsychological tests. findings indicate that improved symptoms dementia; most...
SummaryThe authors studied 70 patients affected by chronic hepatitis C where diagnosis had been made clinical and histological tests. Intramuscular recombinant alpha 2b interferon (3x106) was administered to 35 every second evening for 6 months, whereas the other received aspecific treatment. Our results revealed normalization of transaminase in 57% patients, with distinct improvement their pictures. All on were followed up a six-month drug free period, after which disease reappeared 50% responders.
Abstract This paper incorporates endogenously emerging beliefs and social influence into a stylized Islands model characterized by uncertainty, strategic complementarity, frictional coordination.
