Adequate but not excessive dietary energy supply is crucial for growth and productivity in cattle. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of three incremental metabolizable (ME) levels concentrate mixes: low (LEC, 10.4 MJ/kg DM), medium (MEC, 10.8 high (HEC, 11.0 DM) on performance comprehensive physiological parameters Hanwoo steers. Thirty steers, averaging 499 ± 38.0 kg, were randomly allocated one treatments. Each steer received up 8 kg mix, with ad libitum access tall fescue. Body...

Monitoring cattle feed intake is crucial for evaluating animal health, productivity, and farm profitability. In particular, an abnormal related to the activity. Therefore, outlier detection forms basis monitoring. This study employed multiple algorithms ranging from statistics deep learning detect outliers in time-series data of intake. We used five models implementing mean + standard deviation, moving average, box plot, time series decomposition, autoencoder, attempted enhance performance...

This study aimed to investigate the effect of varying levels dietary crude protein (CP) on growth performance, rumen characteristics, blood metabolites, and methane emissions in fattening Hanwoo steers. Twenty-four steers, weighing 504 ± 33.0 kg (16 months old), were assigned four treatments with different CP concentrations (15, 18, 19, 21% a dry matter (DM) basis). A linear increasing trend average daily gain (ADG) was observed (

Abstract The hand-held laser methane detector (LMD) technique has been suggested as an alternative method for measuring (CH4) emissions from enteric fermentation of ruminants in the field. This study aimed to establish a standard procedure using LMD assess CH4 production cattle and evaluate efficacy protocol detect differences fed with diets different forage-to-concentrate (FC) ratios. Experiment 1 was conducted four Hanwoo steers (584 ± 57.4 kg body weight [BW]) individually housed...

Abstract Activity biosensors have been used recently to measure and diagnose the physiological status of dairy cows. However, owing variety commercialized activity available in market, data generated by a biosensor need be standardized predict an animal make relevant decisions. Hence, objective this study was develop standardization method for accommodating measurements from different sensors. Twelve Holstein cows were monitored collect 12 862 four types sensors over five months. After...

This study investigated the effect of different dietary fat levels in concentrate mixes on growth performance, rumen characteristics, digestibility, blood metabolites, and methane emissions growing Hanwoo steers. Thirty steers (386 ± 24.6 kg body weight [BW]; 12 months old), blocked by BW, were randomly assigned to three treatments with varying concentrations mix (48, 74, 99 g ether extract per dry matte [DM]). The intake low-fat treatment represented 4.15% total matter (DMI), while medium-...

An automatic concentrate feeding system (ACFS) divides the day into several intervals, allowing cattle to consume a predetermined amount of mix per interval. This study investigated impact changing these intervals (four vs. six) in an ACFS on its precision monitoring feed intake and behavior fattening Hanwoo steers. The experiment, involving 29 steers (688 ± 43.3 kg body weight, 24 months old), employed switchback design with two interval settings: four six day. Both individual forage...

This study aimed to determine the factors affecting body weight (BW) of Hanwoo steers by collecting a large number BW measurements using an automated weighing system (AWS). The 12 was measured automatically AWS for seven days each month over three months. On fourth day measurement month, additional conducted manually. After removing outliers records, deviations between records (a) and manual (b) were analyzed. (a - b) significantly (p < 0.05) affected time within as well individual animal...

Abstract MicroRNAs (miRNAs), short, non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression at translation, are recently emerging as potential biomarkers for sarcopenia. The miRNAs have been extensively studied in etiology of sarcopenia; however, the role on sarcopenia components has not yet explored. We aimed to examine differentially expressed plasma older adults relation muscle mass, strength, and performance status. A total 96 (women: 50.0%; mean age: 76.6 ± 3.6 years) were randomly selected...
