The primary neuroendocrine interface, hypothalamus and pituitary, together with adrenals, constitute the major axis responsible for maintenance of homeostasis response to perturbations in environment. gene expression profiling human hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal was catalogued by generating a large amount expressed sequence tags (ESTs), followed bioinformatics analysis ( http://www.chgc.sh.cn/ database). Totally, 25,973 sequences good quality were obtained from 31,130 clones (83.4%) cDNA...

Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is a prevalent chronic respiratory condition in preterm infants with an increasing incidence, severely affecting their survival rate and quality of life. Exploring the underlying mechanisms BPD helps to develop novel effective therapeutic strategies. In this study, integrated metabolomic analyses tracheal aspirates (TAs) from non-BPD infants, along lung tissues hyperoxia-induced experimental neonatal rats control rats, demonstrated that was associated...

To understand the interfacial scattering effect on anomalous Hall (AHE), we prepared multilayers of ${(\mathrm{F}{\mathrm{e}}_{(36/n)\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\mathrm{nm}}/\mathrm{A}{\mathrm{u}}_{(12/n)\phantom{\rule{4pt}{0ex}}\mathrm{nm}})}_{n}$ using an e-beam evaporator. This structure design allowed us to investigate AHE, while keeping samples' thickness and composition unchanged. We measured (magneto)transport properties samples in a wide temperature range (10--310 K) with magnetic...

The chemical distribution of oxide layers around functional tungsten nanotips is studied using electron tomography. Three-dimensional element functions are derived for such tips, giving insight into the subsurface chemistry. Energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) spectroscopy coupled to computed tomography reconstruct slices across tip. It finally shown how surface reconstruction by geometric from annular dark field scanning transmission microscopy images can be combined with EDX reconstructions...

A technique to quantify in real time the microstructural changes occurring during mechanical nanoscale fatigue of ultrathin surface coatings has been developed. Cyclic loading, with amplitudes less than 100 nm, is achieved a probe miniaturized fit inside transmission electron microscope (TEM). The TEM tribological can be used for nanofriction and nanofatigue testing, 3D control loading direction simultaneous imaging nano-objects. It demonstrated that fracture 10–20 nm thick amorphous carbon...

We experimentally demonstrate the first use of 1550-nm InAs/GaAs quantum dot semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (QD-SESAM) in dual-wavelength passively Q-switched (QS) erbium doped fiber (EDF) laser. The QS lasing was obtained at a pump threshold 180 mW with average output power 2.2 and spacing between two wavelengths is 14 nm. A large absorption ranging from 1520 to 1590 nm has been realized when no substrate rotation employed during molecular beam epitaxy growth QD-SESAM indicating...

In welding of high nitrogen steel (HNS), it is essential to control the content and porosity in weld metal. this paper, influence shielding gas composition heat input on metal HNS was investigated by tungsten arc welding. The experimental results indicate that increases as N 2 increased same decreases with increasing for pure argon used a gas, whereas including some nitrogen. pore can be avoided when <4% range 528–2340 J mm –1 .

Tuning the magnetic properties of perovskite thin films is great significance for design future devices using related materials. The magnetization LaCoO${}_{3}$ closely with stripelike superstructures observed in atomic-scale images. In this work, authors show that La${}_{0.9}$Ca${}_{0.1}$CoO${}_{3}$ grown on SrTiO${}_{3}$ substrate decreases substitution La${}^{3+}$ ions by Ca${}^{2+}$ ions. Interestingly, could again increase introducing a continuous and controllable manner electron beam...
