Vanadium, abbreviated V, is an early transition metal that readily forms coordination complexes with a variety of biological products such as proteins, metabolites, membranes and other structures. The formation stabilizes ions, which in turn impacts the biodistribution metal. To understand V oxidation state iv form vanadyl sulfate (25, 50, 100 mg daily) was given orally for 6 weeks to 16 persons type 2 diabetes. Elemental determined using Graphite Furnas Atomic Absorption Spectrometry...

Osteolipoma is a rare lipoma variant characterized by mature osseus metaplasia within adipose tissue, most commonly found in the head and neck, seldom reported extremities. We present case of large osteolipoma posterior ankle associated with antecedent trauma. These tumors are typically slow growing can be pain stiffness, depending on tumor size location. Treatment surgical excision, recurrence not reported. Interdisciplinary care involving radiology, pathology, service necessary for proper...

Case: We report a novel case of the successful repair pathological fracture 14-year-old boy's proximal femur using open reduction and internal fixation with an adult 3.5-mm humerus locking plate. Conclusion: Successful pediatric pathologic due to aneurysmal bone cyst may be achieved plate in select patients.

A 31-year-old man with a history of giant cell tumor bone (GCTB) in the distal radius presents to clinic 9 years after en bloc resection. He was found have new soft tissue mass consistent GCTB and pulmonary metastases. Ultimately, he underwent excision his recurrence partial lobectomy for lung metastases. This case highlights importance having high level suspicion local or metastasis, even wide resection negative margins.

Introduction. Tumor-induced osteomalacia (TIO) is a rare paraneoplastic disorder where patients present with hypophosphatemia, chronic diffuse bone pain, and occasionally fractures. Benign phosphaturic mesenchymal tumors (PMT) are responsible for the TIO largely soft tissue tumors. Cases. Two male secondary to PMT were reported—one in bony scapula other plantar foot tissue. The first case describes 63-year-old Caucasian male, who sustained an intertrochanteric proximal femur stress fracture...

Although chondroid syringoma rarely occurs outside the head and neck, majority of malignant syringomas are identified in extremities. Here, we present a case atypical fifth toe. Diagnosis with cells was made following initial excisional biopsy histology, necessitating repeated surgery for positive margins. In this report, examine radiopathologic correlation diagnosis, detail imaging findings benign syringomas, highlight how magnetic resonance can be used to guide surgical planning treatment...
