Composite powders of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and aluminum in which the CNTs are homogeneously dispersed within Al powder prepared with an situ method. Uniform Ni nanoparticles scattered evenly on surfaces powders, followed by CNT synthesis through chemical vapor deposition. The hardness tensile strength CNT(Ni)–Al matrix composites improved compared to aluminum.

A new bismuth metal–organic framework (MOF), bismuth-NU-901 (Bi-NU-901), featuring the scu topology and a pore with diameter of ∼11 Å, was solvothermally synthesized, its use as an X-ray computed tomography (CT) contrast agent tested. CT is common diagnostic method used in medical field. Inside body, media enhance distinction between tissues organs similar density. Bi-NU-901 consists eight connected Bi6 nodes tetratopic 1,3,5,8-(p-benzoate)pyrene linkers (TBAPy). Numerous material...

Abstract The heterogeneity of extracellular matrix (ECM) topology, stiffness, and architecture is a key factor modulating cellular behavior osteogenesis. However, the effects heterogeneous ECM electric potential at micro‐ nanoscale on osteogenesis remain to be elucidated. Here, distribution surface established by incorporating ferroelectric BaTiO 3 nanofibers (BTNF) into poly(vinylidene fluoridetrifluoroethylene) (P(VDF‐TrFE)) based phase‐field first‐principles simulation. By optimizing...

Abstract Utilization of electro‐responsive biomaterials with antibacterial properties is advantageous for facilitating septic wound healing and tissue regeneration. However, the dose‐response effects electrical stimuli from these materials against bacteria are not rigorously characterized, achieving synergy bactericidal pro‐regenerative remains a major challenge. Here, graded series flexible BaTiO 3 /P(VDF‐TrFE) electroactive nanocomposite membranes (EMs) developed varying surface charge...

For the purpose of grain refinement, development microstructure coarse grain, high purity aluminium during cold asymmetric rolling has been studied by electron backscatter pattern (EBSP) analysis, as well optical and transmission microscopy, compared with that developed conventional rolling. In 91.3% asymmetrically rolled sheet, new fine equiaxed grains an average size ∼2 µm are evolved almost uniformly throughout thickness. On other hand, in conventionally fibrous structure is predominant....

ABSTRACT DEAD-box helicase (DDX) family members play differential roles in regulating innate antiviral immune response. However, the physiological played by DDX4 immunity remain unclear. In this study, we unveiled that acts as a positive regulatory molecule of Type-I interferon (IFN-I)-mediated activity. Our findings demonstrate IFN-I upregulates protein levels, and subsequently, overexpression enhances IFN-I-mediated signaling pathway. This creates feedback loop amplifies was found to bind...

Abstract Coxsackievirus B3 (CVB3)-induced acute heart failure (AHF) is a common cause of cardiogenic death in young- and middle-aged people. However, the key molecular events linking CVB3 to AHF remain largely unknown, resulting lack targeted therapy strategies thus far. Here, we unexpectedly found that Viperin deficiency does not promote infection but protects mice from CVB3-induced AHF. Importantly, cardiac-specific expression can induce cardiac dysfunction. Mechanistically, CVB3-encoded...
