This paper summarizes the status of COMPASS tokamak, its comprehensive diagnostic equipment and plasma scenarios as a baseline for future studies. The former COMPASS-D tokamak was in operation at UKAEA Culham, UK 1992–2002. Later, device transferred to Institute Plasma Physics Academy Sciences Czech Republic (IPP AS CR), where it installed during 2006–2011. Since 2012 has been full with Type-I Type-III ELMy H-modes base scenario. enables together ITER-like shape flexible NBI heating system...

The photoluminescence of a Ce-doped LaAlO 3 single crystal is not related to the material itself, but Al-rich micro-inclusions, which demonstrated by matching their cathodoluminescence spectrum with crystal.

This work focuses on mixed YbAG/YbIG garnet in a progressive substitution Al/Fe, where aluminium and iron occupy the tetrahedral or octahedral cation sites. In addition to it, prepared samples were doped with erbium that can profit from ytterbium-based matrix increasing so its absorption cross section. Bulk of Er-doped ytterbium – (Yb2.94Er0.06Al5–xFexO12; x = 0–5) by sol-gel method based Pechini process citric acid ethyleneglycol as polyesterification agents. The annealing had be carried...

Abstract A special group of luminescence materials are scintillators for thermal neutron detection. Due to the properties neutrons (contrary e.g. electrons or gamma photons), a different approach has be utilized—the high content atoms with sufficient absorption cross‐section toward and lower material density needed. This work pursues basic study LiSrBO 3 LiSr 4 (BO ) doped cerium europium—materials promising as scintillators. These borates exhibit such lithium boron, suitable density, proper...

The superconducting XFEL machine will be built in a single tunnel. RF stations provide power of up to 10 MW at 1.3 GHz. modulators produce high-voltage pulses 120 kV, 140 A with pulse length 1.54 ms. These installed service hall ground level. klystrons positioned near the cavities inside energy transported via cables 1.5 km between generating units located halls and transformers Since have transformer ratio 1:12, kV 1.6 kA must transmitted. YAlO 3 and LaAlO are both important oxides used as matrices in optical applications.Their mutual solid solubility is kinetically dependent, especially a polycrystalline form.In this work, we prepared La 1-x Y x AlO (x = 0 -0.65) samples doped with 5 at.% of Eu 3+ the A-site.The were by Spark Plasma Sintering from powders synthetised reverse co-precipitation method. The single-phase obtained up to composition 0.7 0.25 0.05 ; higher yttrium doping level, mixture Y-rich La-rich perovskite-type...

Although many scintillator detectors with the fast and efficient detection of high-energy radiation are commercially produced, new materials still great interest. Oxide matrices doped ions possessing intense 5d–4f radiative transition one researched groups materials. So called Ruddlesden–Popper phases structures combining halite-like perovskite-like structures. The aluminates subgroup (A II n +1-y A III y ) +1 Al O 3 has been only rarely studied for scintillation use. These stable oxides a...
