A 32 kb subarray demonstrates practical implementation of a 65 nm node 8T-SRAM cell for variability tolerance in highspeed caches. Ideal stability allows single-supply operation down to 0.41 V at 295 MHz without dynamic voltage techniques. Despite larger cell, array area is competitive with 6T-SRAM due higher efficiency. With an LSDL decoder, gated diode sense amplifier, and design tradeoffs enabled by the 8 T 5.3 GHz 1.2 achieved.
The dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (dmPFC) is a key hub of the 'social brain', but little known about specific processes supported by this region. Using focal high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation (HD-tDCS) and social cognitive battery with differing demands on self-other processing, we demonstrate involvement dmPFC in tasks placing high processing. Specifically, excitatory (anodal) HD-tDCS enhanced integration external information into self for explicit higher-order...
Theories of right temporoparietal junction (rTPJ) function in social cognition include self-other distinction, self-inhibition, or embodied rotation, whereas the dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (dmPFC) is associated with integrating information. However, no study has provided causal evidence for dissociable roles rTPJ and dmPFC cognition. A total 52 healthy young adults were stratified to receive either anodal high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation (HD-tDCS) a sham-controlled,...
A prominent theory claims that the right temporoparietal junction (rTPJ) is especially associated with embodied processes relevant to perspective-taking. In present study, we use high-definition transcranial direct current stimulation provide evidence rTPJ causally underpinning Eighty-eight young human adults were stratified receive either or dorsomedial PFC anodal in a sham-controlled, double-blind, repeated-measures design. Perspective-tracking (line-of-sight) and perspective-taking...
Electrode positioning errors contribute to variability of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) effects. We investigated the impact electrode on flow for tDCS set-ups with different focality.
The objective of this study is to evaluate the economic benefits immunoglobulin replacement therapy achieved subcutaneously (subcutaneous immunoglobulin, SCIG) by rapid push method compared intravenous infusion (intravenous IVIG) in primary immune deficiency (PID) patients from healthcare system perspective context adult SCIG home program based at St Paul's Hospital, Vancouver, Canada.SCIG and IVIG options were cost-minimisation budget impact models (BIMs) over 3 years. Sensitivity analyses...
Abstract Non‐invasive transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) can enhance recovery after stroke. However, fundamental knowledge about how tDCS impacts neural processing in the lesioned human brain is currently lacking. In present study, it was investigated modulates function patients with post‐stroke language impairment (aphasia). a cross‐over, randomized trial, named pictures of common objects during functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). Concurrently, excitatory (anodal‐) or...
The right inferior frontal gyrus (rIFG) and dorsomedial prefrontal cortex (dmPFC) are key nodes in the social brain, implicated empathy for physical pain. However, their causal dissociable contributions remain unclear. In this study, 52 young adults underwent focal transcranial direct current stimulation (f-tDCS) targeting rIFG or dmPFC a sham-controlled, double-blind, crossover design. Participants rated intensity of pain images depicting during stimulation. Anodal to increased ratings...
Abstract Embodied processing is crucial for visual perspective taking (VPT), with evidence from non-invasive transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) suggesting a causal role of the right temporoparietal junction (rTPJ). However, it not known whether such embodied factors are maintained in older adults or rTPJ-tDCS has comparable effects advanced age. We employed balanced and sham-tDCS controlled, double-blinded, cross-over design, including two randomized experimental groups healthy...
Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) may be a viable tool to improve motor and cognitive function in advanced age. However, although number of studies have demonstrated improved performance older adults, other failed show restorative effects. The neural effects beneficial response both age groups is lacking. In the study, tDCS was administered during simultaneous fMRI 42 healthy young participants. Semantic word generation speech baseline tasks were used investigate behavioral uni-...
Advanced age is associated with difficulties in social understanding. However, little known about the underlying cognitive processes. In present study, healthy young and older adults completed measures of implicit explicit visual perspective taking (VPT) executive cognition across four experiments. Congruency effects (slower response times or reduced accuracy when scenes were incongruent alternate perspective) identified for egocentric ("self") allocentric ("other") conditions both Level 1...
Background A significant number of patients with schizophrenia fail to respond antipsychotic medication. Although several studies have investigated associated patient characteristics, the emerging findings from genetic offer further scope for study. Method In 612 detailed clinical information, common variants indexed by polygenic risk scores, and rare deletion duplication burden genomewide, we explored potential predictors alongside other established factors treatment resistance. Clinical...
Learning associations between words and their referents is crucial for language learning in the developing adult brain re-learning after neurological injury. Non-invasive transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to posterior temporo-parietal cortex has been suggested enhance this process. However, previous studies employed standard tDCS set-ups that induce diffuse flow brain, preventing attribution of effects target region. This study high-definition (HD-tDCS) allowed be constrained...
The objective of this study was to examine whether maternal factors such as socioeconomic status (SES), attitudes towards the baby, and mental health at 6 months or earlier, are associated with non-penetrative penetrative childhood sexual abuse (CSA) in her offspring. This a prospective birth cohort followed up 21 years. Set one two obstetric hospitals Brisbane, Australia, Mater-University Queensland Study Pregnancy (MUSP) involves from population based sample 7223 singletons whose mothers...
