The sudden outburst of in-band solar radio noise from the Sun is recognized as one potential Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) sources that directly impact performance Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers. On September 24, 2011, active region 1302 unleashed a moderate M7.1 soft X-ray flare associated with very powerful burst at 1415 MHz. Solar Burst (SRB) event spanned over three distinct episodes emission reached maximum flux density 114,144 Flux Units (SFU) 13:04:46 UTC....
Abstract Several recurrent X-class flares from Active Region (AR) 13664 triggered a severe G5-class geomagnetic storm between 2024 May 10 and 11. The morphology compactness of this AR closely resemble the responsible for famous Carrington Event 1859. Although induced currents produced value Dst index, probably 1 order magnitude weaker than that Event, characteristics warrant special attention. Understanding mechanisms magnetic field emergence transformation in solar atmosphere lead to...
Objective. The current study evaluates an auditory brain-computer interface (BCI) protocol that allows users to mentally choose among 6 options. Methods. is based on oddball P300 paradigm. To reduce mental workload, we introduce a change in the typical paradigm task: instead of passively counting presented target stimuli, ask participants simply repeat them when they occur. In study, ten healthy carried out two calibration sessions respectively with traditional count and proposed repetition...

Searching for an item in a long ordered list that does not fit the screen is frequent task when using mobile devices. This paper explores four different interfaces to support blind users carrying out this task. Two of them are based on idea tree-augmentation list, proposed by Furnas [3], and differ their depth versus breadth ratio. The other two adopt more traditional technique scrolling respectively standard multitap T9 keyboard entry. reports also results pilot study conducted users.
The Square Kilometer Array (SKA) project aims at building the world's largest radio observatory to observe sky with unprecedented sensitivity and collecting area. In first phase of (SKA1), an array dishes, SKA1-MID, will be built in South Africa. It consist 133 15m-dishes, which include MeerKAT array, for 0.350-20 GHz frequency band observations. Each antenna provided a local monitor control system (LMC), enabling operations both Telescope Manager remote system, engineers maintenance staff;...
The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project is responsible for developing the SKA Observatory, world's largest radio telescope, with eventually over a square kilometre of collecting area and including general headquarters as well two telescopes: SKA1-Mid in South Africa SKA1-Low Australia. consists number subsystems (elements) among which Telescope Manager (TM) one involved controlling monitoring telescopes. TM element has three primary responsibilities: management astronomical observations,...
The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project is responsible for developing the SKA Observatory, world's largest radiotelescope ever built: eventually two arrays of radio antennas - SKA1-Mid and SKA1-Low will be installed in South Africa's Karoo region Western Australia's Murchison Shire, each covering a different range frequencies. In particular array comprise 133 15m diameter dish observing 350 MHz-14 GHz range, locally managed by Local Monitoring Control (LMC) system remotely orchestrated...
