The selective laser ablation of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) which is an aggressive and highly lethal solid tumor great significance. However, existing thermal methods such as radiofrequency, microwave all lack the ability to selectively ablate cancerous tissue while preserving healthy pancreas. In this study, by developing a 6.1 μm femtosecond at resonant wavelength collagen with output power exceeding 1 W, we demonstrate PDACs from 13 patients significant preservation normal...

Background . Suboptimal adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) is still pervasive. The effect of using a mobile phone call intervention improve patient currently not known. Objective This study aims investigate the effects on ART and quality life (QOL) treatment-naive treatment-experienced patients. Methods A randomized controlled trial was conducted in three largest public hospitals. Adherence measured by self-completed questionnaires. QOL assessed WHOQOL-HIV BREF. Outcomes were at day...

This research investigates whether the global startup original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in China could employ their knowledge-acquisition capability developed via internationalization to compete domestically (i.e. reverse internationalization), facing recession markets. Results examine that can help these firms 'reverse internationalization', while conduct of own brand strategy partially mediates positive relationship between and domestic performance. We contribute literature by...

The realization of compact and efficient broadband mid-infrared (MIR) lasers has enormous impacts in promoting MIR spectroscopy for various important applications. A number well-designed waveguide platforms have been demonstrated supercontinuum frequency comb generations based on cubic nonlinearities, but unfortunately third-order nonlinear response is inherently weak. Here, we propose demonstrate the first time a χ(2) micrometer platform birefringence phase matching long-wavelength infrared...

With the advent of knowledge economy, technology has become foundation advancement for many enterprises. To maintain a lasting competitive edge, enterprises must accurately determine competitiveness particular technologies. However, emerging innovations are becoming more and complex, interdisciplinary trends complicate matters even further. In evaluation based on patent, traditional patent classifications both loose time-sensitive. this paper, we constructed model enterprise’s technological...

Abstract Laser ablation of bio‐tissues is the key technology future surgeries, owing to merits submicron accuracy, non‐contact operation, and precision control assisted by automation computer intelligence. Excellent efficiency, minimal collateral damage, biological safety, tissue selectivity are ideal parameters for delicate surgical applications. Here, exploring mid‐infrared (MIR) resonant femtosecond cold processing, with multi‐millimeter depth cellular enabled a tabletop MIR optical...

Abstract. This study investigated the solubility features, environmental consequences, and mechanisms of humic substances (HS), including acids (HA), fulvic (FA), protein-like (PLS), in two soils pH range 1–12. The pH-dependent presence or absence fluorescence peaks individual HS components reflected their functional group proton/electron exchange features at both low high values, which were related to insolubility. In particular, alkaline (≥ 9) yielded anionic forms (‒O‒ ‒COO‒) phenolic OH...

A systematic comparison of fiber-based gas pressure sensors using different types hollow-core photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) is conducted. The sensor was fabricated by splicing a segment silica capillary between single mode fiber (SMF) and PCF. Fabry-Perot (FP) cavity configuration thus formed with the tube as sensing cavity, while PCF acts passage to external environment. External change would lead variation in refractive index air resulting wavelength shift interference dips. sensitivity...

We demonstrate a simple and ultra-sensitive refractive index (RI) sensor using hollow-core silica tube (HCST) sandwiched between an up-taper down-taper in single mode fibers (SMF). According to our theoretical analysis, the interference spectrum comes from combination of three-beam multi-mode anti-resonance effects. RI sensing will affect interference. By demodulating fringe contrast spectra, ultrahigh sensitivity -120.18 dB/RIU is achieved, implying resolution ∼ 8×10 −6 range 1.35 1.43....
