Currently, there are very few provisions for recycling in theatres. We measured the weight of clinical waste several orthopaedic operations. This was then examined and sorted into domestic waste. With staff education it is possible to reduce amount generated by operating theatre roughly 50%. A greater awareness disposal options leads a reduction disposed incineration.
