Abstract Background Strengthening primary health care is critical to reducing inequity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. The Audit Best practice for Chronic Disease Extension (ABCDE) project has facilitated the implementation of modern Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) approaches in community centres across Australia. demonstrated improvements centre systems, delivery services patient intermediate outcomes. It also highlighted substantial variation quality care. Through a...

Design/methodology/approach methodology involved in-depth literature review European Union policies, initiatives programs. Also, semi-structured interviews were conducted with key individuals/organisations, mainly at level, but also including pertinent global national organisations. Moreover, an online survey was circulated wide range...

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, governments around world initiated a programme of temporary road-space reallocation measures. These measures helped create more space for social distancing and encouraged an uptake in active travel (including walking cycling). This paper examines impact pandemic on behaviour two contrasting local authorities North England, specifically, deployment introduced. research shows that, overall, there was substantial degree change usual behaviours amongst...

Abstract Bearing in mind that activity requirements of manufacturing enterprises (MEs) can usefully be described as a network dependent processes, the current paper identifies complementary properties state-of-the-art enterprise modelling and simulation techniques. It is observed that, when these techniques are used coherent fashion, they have potential to create semantically rich models process networks computer-executed so replicate and/or predict organizational behaviours. Abstract In support of the life-cycle engineering manufacturing enterprises (MEs), there is a need to provide reusable computational representations organisational structures, processes, information, resources, and related cost value flows. Current best process mapping techniques do not suitably capture key time-based attributes ME systems, particularly with respect dynamics associated multi-product work flows through shared resource systems. However, multiple work-flow will likely impact...

This paper describes how microprocessor-based controls can be used to produce low cost pneumatic servo drives which could find wide application in manufacturing industries. The approach incorporates digital compensation for system non-linearities so that, when positioning loads a ‘point point’ mode, it is possible achieve significant improvement both the static and dynamic performance of drive. Aspects of the operating characteristics pneumatic systems are given and control methods for servo motors described. Both analytical experimental approaches considered. The results show that digital-controlled air have potential providing an alternative solution to their electric hydraulic motor counterparts. Air motors, through inherent low cost, good power-to-weight ratio intrinsically safe operation, can thus be utilized industrial machines in certain application areas.
