Brain monoamines – such as noradrenaline (NA), dopamine (DA) and serotonin (5-HT) regulate several important physiological functions, including the circadian rhythm. The purpose of this study was to examine changes in NA, DA 5-HT levels various brain regions their effect on core body temperature (Tc), heart rate (HR) locomotor activity (Act) rats following exposure an artificial light/dark (LD) cycle. For this, male Wistar were housed at ambient (Ta) 23 °C 50% relative humidity with free...

ABSTRACT Voltage‐gated sodium channels, including Na V 1.7, 1.8, and 1.9, play important roles in pain transmission chronic development. However, the specific mechanisms of their action remain unclear, highlighting need for vivo stimulation studies these channels. Optogenetics, a novel technique targeting activation or inhibition neural circuits using light, offers promising solution. In our previous study, we used optogenetics to selectively excite 1.7‐expressing neurons dorsal root...

The relationships between various diseases and the human gut microbiota (GM) have been revealed. However, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) GM remains unknown. aim of this cross-sectional study was to clarify association AAA GM. Stool samples from 30 consecutive patients with before repair those controls without vascular were analyzed by 16S rRNA gene (V3-4) sequencing using an Illumina MiSeq system QIIME 2. There no significant difference in age (75 vs. 75 years) or gender (80% 87% males)...

Objective: The objective of the study was to develop a better model prediction after EVAR using psoas muscle index (PMI). Summary Background Data: Glasgow Aneurysm Score (GAS), modified Leiden (mLS), Comorbidity Severity (CSS), and Euro (ES) are known prognostic scoring EVAR. Similarly, sarcopenia measured by PMI has been reported be an important predictor. This investigated new system predicting short midterm overall mortality Methods: Three hundred ten patients were retrospectively...

Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) of acute uncomplicated type B dissection (uTBAD) has been discussed for its potential to prevent future events. We present a fenestrated TEVAR in the case an 86-year-old man with uTBAD isolated left vertebral artery (ILVA). The ILVA originated from distal side subclavian artery, and intramural hematoma ulcer-like projection extended close artery. selected stent graft achieve proximal healthy landing. This demonstrates that is useful preserving arch vessels.

For patients with a juxtarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (JAAA), the chimney technique is an alternative treatment option to open surgical repair. Although feasible in most cases of JAAA, some anatomical situations may challenge implantation graft through traditional upper extremity access. Herein, we present trans-femoral using steerable sheath for endovascular repair (chEVAR) JAAA. This allows chEVAR be completed safely without access even at high risk cerebral embolism including those...

The sarcomere is the contractile unit of striated muscle and composed actin myosin filaments. There increasing evidence to support that assembly mediated by Fhod3, a member formin family proteins, critical for formation maintenance in cardiac muscle. which abundantly expressed heart, localizes center sarcomeres contributes regulation function, as evidenced fact mutations Fhod3 cause cardiomyopathy. However, role skeletal muscle, another type unclear. We herein show tongue at both mRNA...

Aberrant light/dark (LD) cycles are prevalent in modern society due to electric light usage, leading mood disorders from circadian disruption or misalignment. However, research on the physiological and behavioral effects of LD variations brain neurotransmitters is limited. We investigated extreme body weight (BW), core temperature (Tcore), locomotor activity (ACT), emotional behaviors, monoamine levels (noradrenaline [NA], dopamine [DA], serotonin [5-HT]) male Wistar rats that were exposed 1...

BackgroundThe Investigation of Stent Grafts in Aortic Dissection with extended length follow-up trial showed that pre-emptive thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair (TEVAR) for the uncomplicated type B dissection (TBAD) subacute phase promotes aortic remodeling and avoids aortic-related death 5 years after onset. However, there are some patients complete (CAR) optimal medical treatment (OMT) severe complications TEVAR such as retrograde A dissection. Therefore, which should undergo surgical...
