Larger optical penalties than predicted by a Gaussian crosstalk model are found both in our experiments and the literature when investigating signals including multiple interferometric contributions. We attribute this to an imperfect signal extinction ratio. In letter, simple analytical relations for induced power derived taking ratio into account excellent agreement with 10-Gb/s is obtained. Both theory show importance of connection crosstalk.
