The XIS is an X-ray Imaging Spectrometer system, consisting of state-of-the-art charge-coupled devices (CCDs) optimized for detection, camera bodies, and control electronics. Four sets sensors are placed at the focal planes grazing-incidence, nested thin-foil mirrors (XRT: X-Ray Telescope) onboard Suzaku satellite. Three have front-illuminated CCDs, while other has a back-illuminated CCD. Coupled with XRT, energy range 0.2–12 keV resolution 130 eV 5.9 keV, field view $18^\prime \times...
A new 17-GHz radio interferometer dedicated for solar observations was constructed in two years at Nobeyama, Nagano. It consists of eighty-four 80-cm-diameter antennas arranged a tee-shaped array extending 490 m east-west and 220 north-south directions. Since late June 1992, full-disk images the Sun have been observed 8 h every day. The spatial resolution is 10" temporal 1 s also 50 ms selected events. Every 10 correlator data are synthesized into real time displayed on monitor screen....

The use of nanoparticles (NPs) has become a significant area research in Dentistry. Objective aim this study was to investigate the physical, antibacterial activity and bond strength properties conventional base, core build restorative glass ionomer cement (GIC) compared GIC supplemented with titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanopowder at 3% 5% (w/w). Material Methods Vickers microhardness estimated diamond indenter. Compressive flexural strengths were analyzed universal testing machine. Specimens...
Continuous-wave operation of InGaN green laser diodes (LDs) on semipolar {2021} GaN substrates with output powers over 100 mW in the spectral region beyond 530 nm is demonstrated. Wall plug efficiencies (WPEs) as high 7.0–8.9% are realized wavelength range 525–532 nm, which exceed those reported for c-plane LDs. The longest lasing has reached 536.6 under cw operation. These results suggest that LDs plane better suited light sources applications requiring wavelengths 525 nm.
A goal in the characterization of supported metal catalysts is to achieve particle-by-particle analysis charge state strongly correlated with catalytic activity. Here, we demonstrate direct identification individual platinum nanoparticles (NPs) on titanium dioxide using ultrahigh sensitivity and precision electron holography. Sophisticated phase-shift for part NPs protruding into vacuum visualized slight potential changes around NPs. The revealed number (only one six electrons) sense...
We have observed the diffuse X-ray emission from Galactic Center (GC) using Imaging Spectrometer (XIS) on Suzaku. The high-energy resolution and low-background orbit provided excellent spectra of GC X-rays (GCDX). XIS found many lines in GCDX near energy K-shell transitions iron nickel. most pronounced features are Fe I $\mathrm{K}\alpha$ at 6.4 keV absorption edge 7.1 keV, which neutral and/or low ionization states iron, 6.7 6.9 He-like (Fe XXV $\mathrm{K}\alpha$) hydrogenic XXVI...
The results of an analysis 14 impulsive solar flares, observed simultaneously with microwave and X-ray imaging instruments, are presented. From the relative locations microwave, hard X-ray, soft sources, we have found that in 10 14, at least two loops involved. Typical sizes differ; one is typically ≤20'' other 30''-80''. Microwave emission detected from both loops, while preferentially radiated shorter loops. loop brighter than longer X-rays. However, intensity variations microwaves...
The charge transfer inefficiency (CTI) of the X-ray CCDs aboard Suzaku satellite (X-ray Imaging Spectrometers: XIS) has increased since launch due to radiation damage, and energy resolution been degraded. To improve CTI, we have applied a spaced-row injection (SCI) technique XIS in orbit; by injecting charges into CCD rows periodically, CTI is actively decreased. SCI mode depends on distance between signal preceding injected row, pulse height shows periodic positional variations. Using...
Bone marrow cells differentiate into bone-forming osteoblasts when cultured in medium supplemented with 15% fetal bovine serum, ascorbic acid, beta-glycerophosphate, and dexamethasone. To investigate vivo osteoblastic activity bone matrix formation by cells, Fischer rat were for 2 weeks porous hydroxyapatite (HA) then subcutaneously implanted 7-week-old male syngeneic rats. We present an examination of the multiwavelength observation a C7.9 flare that occurred on 1998 November 10. This is first imaging quasi-periodic pulsations (QPPs). Four bursts were observed with hard X-ray telescope aboard Yohkoh and Nobeyama Radioheliograph during impulsive phase flare. In second burst, microwave time profiles clearly showed QPP. estimated Alfvén transit along loop using images soft photospheric magnetograms found was almost equal to period therefore suggest, based shock...
A major approach for fingerprint recognition today is to extract minutiae from images and perform matching based on the number of corresponding pairings. One most difficult problems in has been that performance significantly influenced by fingertip surface condition, which may vary depending environmental or personal causes. Addressing this problem, paper presents a algorithm using phase-based image matching. The use phase components 2D (two-dimensional) discrete Fourier transforms makes...
X-ray spectroscopic measurements of the Cygnus Loop supernova remnant indicate that metal abundances throughout most remnant's rim are depleted to ∼0.2 times solar value. However, recent studies have revealed in some narrow regions along outermost anomalously "enhanced" (up ∼1 solar). The reason for these anomalous is not understood. Here, we examine spectra annular sectors covering nearly entire using Suzaku (21 pointings) and XMM-Newton (1 pointing). We find abundance commonly show a...
