With the emerging novel biotherapeutics that are typically difficult-to-express (DTE), improvement is required for high-yield production. To identify targets can enhance DTE protein production, we performed genome-wide fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS)-based clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR) knockout screening in bispecific antibody (bsAb)-producing Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. The screen identified two highest-scoring genes,

State-space models (SSMs), such as Mamba Gu & Dao (2034), have been proposed alternatives to Transformer networks in language modeling, by incorporating gating, convolutions, and input-dependent token selection mitigate the quadratic cost of multi-head attention. Although SSMs exhibit competitive performance, their in-context learning (ICL) capabilities, a remarkable emergent property modern that enables task execution without parameter optimization, remain underexplored compared...

Imaginary winged creatures in computer animation applications are expected to perform a variety of motor skills physically realistic and controllable manner. Designing physics-based controllers for flying creature is still very challenging particularly when the dynamic model high-dimensional, having many degrees freedom. In this paper, we present control method creatures, which aerodynamically simulated, interactively controllable, equipped with such as soaring, gliding, hovering, diving....

Paddy field ecosystems are crucial for crop production, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem services. Although previous studies have examined paddy biodiversity, few addressed how the distribution species richness of vegetation soil seed banks regulated. This study investigated wetland plants in fields across diverse habitat types identified factors influencing their patterns. Surveys revealed that conventional habitats contained only a herbicide-tolerant (e.g., Portulaca oleracea L.,...

The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) has successfully revealed the shadow of supermassive black hole, M87*, with an unprecedented angular resolution approximately 20 uas at 230 GHz. However, because limited short baseline lengths, EHT been constrained in its ability to recover larger scale jet structures. extended Korean VLBI Network (eKVN) is committed joining from 2024 that can improve coverage. This study evaluates impact participation eKVN on recovery M87* jet. Synthetic data, derived a...

In this paper, we propose MPC (Modular Prompted Chatbot), a new approach for creating high-quality conversational agents without the need fine-tuning. Our method utilizes pre-trained large language models (LLMs) as individual modules long-term consistency and flexibility, by using techniques such few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought (CoT), external memory. human evaluation results show that is on par with fine-tuned chatbot in open-domain conversations, making it an effective solution...

An enhanced search algorithm of a landing site on unknown terrain using stereo vision information for quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle is developed. For the development, dynamic model, including nonlinear actuator dynamics, constructed and guidance control system designed based feedback linearization linear quadratic tracker. Stereo sensor used to acquire depth map flatness topography obtained by extracting edge performing Euclidean distance transform. Energy consumption also considered....

Autoencoders (AEs) have been widely used for unsupervised anomaly detection. They learn from normal samples such that they produce high reconstruction errors anomalous samples. However, AEs can exhibit the over-detection issue because imperfectly reconstruct not only but also ones. To address this issue, we introduce an outlier-exposed style distillation network (OE-SDN) mimics mild distortions caused by AE, which are termed as translation. We use difference between outputs of OE-SDN and AE...

Dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) is an efficient tool for decomposing spatio-temporal data into a set of low-dimensional modes, yielding the oscillation frequencies and growth rates physically significant modes. In this paper, we propose novel DMD model that can be used dynamical systems affected by multiplicative noise. We first derive maximum posteriori (MAP) estimator data-based linear system corrupted certain Applying penalty relaxation to MAP estimator, obtain proposed whose...

Abstract We consider additive Schwarz methods for boundary value problems involving the $p$-Laplacian. While existing theoretical estimates suggest a sublinear convergence rate these methods, empirical evidence from numerical experiments demonstrates linear rate. In this paper we narrow gap between and results by presenting novel analysis. First, present new theory written in terms of quasi-norm. This quasi-norm exhibits behaviour akin to Bregman distance convex energy functional associated...

A key observation is that the convergence rates of both one- and two-level bounds independent nonlinear term in problem. That is, do not deteriorate by presence nonlinearity, so solving a problem requires no more iterations than linear Moreover, method scalable sense rate depends on \(H/h\) \(H/\delta\) only, where \(h\) \(H\) are typical...
