Abstract Semitransparent perovskite solar cells (ST‐PSCs) are highly attractive for applications in building‐integrated photovoltaics as well multijunction tandem devices. To fabricate high‐performance ST‐PSCs, suitable transparent top electrodes strongly needed. Dielectric/metal/dielectric (DMD) multilayer structures have been shown to be promising candidates, though generally based on high‐value metals such gold or silver, the latter causing also stability issues by reacting with...

Organotin compounds represent potential cancer therapeutics due to their pro-apoptotic action. We recently synthesized the novel organotin ferulic acid derivative tributyltin (IV) ferulate (TBT-F) and demonstrated that it displays anti-tumor properties in colon cells related with autophagic cell death. The purpose of present study was elucidate mechanism TBT-F action cells. specifically show TBT-F-dependent autophagy is determined by a rapid generation reactive oxygen species (ROS)...

The perovskite film is the core of a solar cell (PSC), and its quality crucial for performance such devices. morphology, crystallinity, surface coverage layer greatly affect power conversion efficiency (PCE), hysteresis, long-term stability PSCs. incorporation appropriate solvent additives in precursor solution an effective strategy to control morphology reduce defects grain boundaries. However, commonly used are environmentally harmful highly toxic. In this work, α-terpineol (a nontoxic,...

Amphiphilic cyclodextrin (ACyD) provides water-soluble and adaptable nanovectors by modulating the balance between hydrophobic hydrophilic chains at both CyD sides. This work aimed to design nanoassemblies based on nonionic ACyD (SC6OH) for delivery of a poor-water-soluble organotin(IV)-porphyrin derivative [(Bu3Sn)4TPPS] melanoma cancer cells. To characterize porphyrin derivatives under simulated physiological conditions, speciation was performed using complementary techniques. In aqueous...

Organotin(IV) compounds are a class of non-platinum metallo-conjugates exhibiting antitumor activity. The effects different organotin types has been related to several mechanisms, including their ability modify acetylation protein status and promote apoptosis. Here, we focus on triorganotin(IV) complexes butyric acid, well-known HDAC inhibitor with properties. conjugated were synthesized characterised by FTIR spectroscopy, multi-nuclear (1H, 13C 119Sn) NMR, mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). In the...

The complex formation of diethyltin(IV) cation with glycolic (GA), lactic (LA), succinic (SA), malic (MA), tartaric (TA), mercaptoacetic (MAA), 2-mercaptopropionic (MPA), mercaptosuccinic (MSA) and dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) has been investigated by potentiometric, spectrophotometric, 1H NMR Mössbauer spectroscopic methods. mercaptocarboxylic acids yielded much more stable complexes than the corresponding hydroxy acids. Below pH 3, carboxylate still protonated hydroxyl group are...

Several novel diorgano- and triorgano-tin(IV) derivatives of orotic acid, (2,6-dihydroxypyrimidine-4-carboxylic acid; H3or) have been synthesized. In the diorganotin(IV) derivatives, acid behaved either as a monoanionic or dianionic ligand, yielding R2Sn(H2or)2 R2SnHor (R = Me, Bu) species, respectively, while in triorganotin(IV) orotates only monodeprotonation occurred, giving R3SnH2or derivatives. Structural hypotheses are proposed discussed for solid state based on Mössbauer IR...

The emission of silicon nanocrystals (Si-NCs), synthesized by pulsed laser ablation in water, was investigated on varying the pH solution. These samples emit μs decaying orange photoluminescence (PL) associated with radiative recombination quantum-confined excitons. Time-resolved spectra reveal that both PL intensity and lifetime increase a factor ∼20 when decreases from 10 to 1 thus indicating quantum efficiency increases inhibiting nonradiative decay rates.
