Abstract Opium poppy ( Papaver somniferum ) is a source of morphine, codeine, and semisynthetic derivatives, including oxycodone naltrexone. Here, we report the de novo assembly genomic analysis P. traditional landrace ‘Chinese Herbal Medicine’. Variations between 2.62 Gb CHM genome that previously sequenced high noscapine 1 (HN1) variety were also explored. Among 79,668 protein-coding genes, functionally annotated 88.9%, compared to 68.8% reported in HN1 genome. Gene family 4DTv comparative...

Halophilic fungi have evolved unique osmoadaptive strategies, enabling them to thrive in hypersaline habitats. Here, we conduct morphological and transcriptomic response of endophytic fungus (Aspergillus montevidensis ZYD4) both the presence absence salt stress. Under stress, colony morphology A. ZYD4 changed drastically exhibited decreased pigmentation. Extensive conidiophores development was observed under stress; rarely developed yellow cleistothecium formation inhibited, while glycerol...

Abstract Motivation: In the developing nervous system, expression of proneural genes, i.e. Hes1, Neurogenin-2 (Ngn2) and Deltalike-1 (Dll1), oscillates in neural progenitors with a period 2–3 h, but is persistent post-mitotic neurons. Unlike synchronization segmentation clocks, oscillations are asynchronous between cells. It known that Notch signaling, which cell can be activated by Dll1 neighboring cells (trans-activation) also inhibited within same (cis-inhibition), important for fate...

Biofilms are often observed at the solid-water interface. The leaves of many floating macrophytes have characteristics both terrestrial plants and submerged macrophytes, because, in general, their upper lower surfaces exposed to air water, respectively. However, little is known about biofilms attached plants. We investigated leaves, stems roots Nymphoides peltata (in summer winter) Trapa natans summer) Gonghu Bay Lake Taihu. Bacteria algae were major components biofilm on two species In...

Infectious bronchitis (IB) is a highly infectious viral disease of chickens which causes significant economic losses in the poultry industry worldwide. An effective vaccine against IB urgently needed to provide both biosafety and high-efficiency immune protection. In this study, S1 protein virus was delivered by recombinant attenuated Salmonella typhimurium vector form candidate χ11246(pYA4545-S1). S. χ11246 carried sifA− mutation with regulated delayed systems, striking balance between host...

Understanding the effects of environmental factors on microbial communities is critical for ecology, but it remains challenging. In this study, we examined diversity (alpha diversity) and community compositions (beta prokaryotes fungi in hypersaline sediments salinized soils from northern China. Environmental variables were highly correlated, they differed significantly between saline soils. The prokaryotic fungal different those adjacent saline-alkaline soils, indicating a habitat-specific...

Post-fermented tea has multiple health-promoting efficacy; however, the molecular mechanisms of quality formation remain largely unknown. Here, we found that leucyl-tRNA synthetase (LeuRS) is essential for 'golden flowers' in dark teas fermented by A. montevidensis. Metabolomics based on UHPLC-Q-TOF/MS revealed 67, 130, and 98 differential metabolites compared groups wide-type strains (WT)/by ΔleuRS mutants (MT) at 3, 9 15 days, respectively. These consisted mainly flavonoids, sugars,...
