The effect of Ce element on the evolution recrystallization texture in a 1.2%Si-0.4% Al non-oriented electrical steel during annealing process was investigated by using OM, SEM/EBSD and OIM software. results showed that recrystallized grain size ratio specimens containing are coarser higher than those without respectively. fraction favourable textures with is also Ce. Moreover, unfavorable {111} very less. Appropriate purified steel, reduced fine MnS, coarsen modified Al2O3 spherified AlN...
This research investigates the relationship between microstructure and mechanical properties of electron beam welding joints, with a particular emphasis on influence varying currents AISI 410L stainless steel plates NS163 Co-based superalloy wires, which is rare novel form welding. An increase in current led to gradual transformation weld from columnar equiaxed grains, creating finer more homogeneous grains. Macrosegregation was also observed, consequence liquidus temperature difference...
The pitting corrosion of thermally aged Z3CN20.09M cast duplex stainless steel (CDSS) was investigated using potentiodynamic polarisation and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Both potential charge transfer resistance values specimens became less positive with aging time, while passive current density increased, indicating that thermal causes degradation in resistance. after annealed is higher than revealing the has been improved. α' phase precipitation during ferrite brings...
The effect of ferrite phase on the precipitation σ in a Z3CN20.09M cast austenitic stainless steel (CASS) used for primary coolant pipes pressurized water reactor (PWR) nuclear power plants was investigated by using isothermal heat-treatment, optical microscopy (OM), transmission electron (TEM) and probe microanalysis (EPMA) techniques. influence different morphologies volume fractions formation mechanism discussed. amount precipitated all specimens with microstructures increased increasing...
The pitting corrosion of three duplex steels (DSS), SAF2205, SAF2507, Z3CN20.09M thermally aged at 350 - 500 ℃ for 5500 h was investigated by the means electrochemical techniques. potential (Ep) specimens decreased with increasing ageing temperature, however, Ep SAF2205 and SAF2507 first reached lowest value 450 then increased slightly. impedance spectroscopy results are coincident potentiodynamic polarisation testing results. variation in charge transfer resistance coincided values. There...
Abstract The tensile fracture behavior of 55CrSi spring steels were investigated. results demonstrate that interior inclusion and hydrogen level has a significant effect on ductility minimal strength the steel. It was due to cracking from MgO-Al 2 O 3 spinel or inclusions with mixture CaO, SiO part Al hydrogen. SEM showed reduction is connected formation ‘fisheye’ which formed under influence mobile For specimen containing inclusion, surface in area mainly composed three regions including...
The effect of sigma phases on the moderate-temperature tensile properties Z3CN20.09M casting austenite stainless steel was investigated by means isothermal treatment, scanning electron microscopy, transmission instrumented nanoindentation, testing, and finite element simulation. results show that yield strength ultimate aged specimens tested at moderate temperature increase remarkably with an increasing phase, while elongation break decreased. strain-hardening rate is higher than unaged...
Steels/alloys are widely used in various aspects of human society, such as transportation and construction, machinery manufacturing, oil, chemical, petrochemical, marine, nuclear power industries, etc [...]
Abstract A new technology of austenite grain refinement, fine enhanced ferrite transformation, is proposed for heavy‐duty hot‐rolled H‐beam steels in this work. Titanium microalloying very important and necessary the technology. The effect titanium on prior size during simulated rough rolling was investigated. results show that sizes specimens with niobium elements are much finer than those but without deformed at same parameters. For alloying composition studied steels, nitride particle...
The tensile properties of TiNi43.5Fe6.5 alloy samples having different grain sizes (0.16, 0.35, 1.7, 2.3, and 3.9 μm) fabricated by severe plastic deformation annealing were investigated. It was observed that both the strength elongation increase with a decrease in size until average reaches 1.7 μm. However, for smaller than μm, decreases continuously further refinement. On other hand, strain-hardening rate does not plasticity but instead increases slightly. poor ductility ultrafine-grained...
Fine-grained (FG) austenite structure, and ultrafine-grained (UFG) structure consisting of matrix residual strain-induced α′-martensite (SIM α′ ) were fabricated by combining cryogenic-rolling with annealing for 304 austenitic stainless steel (ASS). Tensile Charpy V-notch impact tests at 20–298 K carried out to investigate the low temperature mechanical behavior FG- UFG-ASS. We found that FG-ASS showed a better match among strength, plasticity toughness K. The prevailing cleavage was...
Effect of sigma phases on moderate temperature mechanical properties a Fe20Cr9Ni casting austenite stainless steel was investigated by means isothermal treatment, scanning electron microscope, transmission nano-indentation instrument, tensile testing and finite element simulation. The results show that yield strength ultimate at increased with the increasing phase, while, elongation after fracture decreased. Strain hardening rate aged specimens is higher than unaged without certain low...
