In this work a novel method for synthesis of 1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene melanin was presented, as well the physicochemical properties, molecular structure, and characteristics pigment. The proposed protocol is simple cost-effective with no enzymes or catalysts needed. final product not adsorbed on any surface, since pigment result autooxidation 1,8-dihydroxynaphthalene. Performed analyses revealed that solubility, optical paramagnetic properties are typical melanins, in EPR spectra an unusual...

Plants have developed various acclimation strategies in order to counteract the negative effects of abiotic stresses (including temperature stress), and biological membranes are important elements these strategies. Brassinosteroids (BR) plant steroid hormones that regulate growth development modulate their reaction against many environmental including stress, but role modifying properties membrane is poorly known. In this paper, we characterise molecular dynamics chloroplast had been...

Gene encoding mercuric ion reductase, merA is a crucial component of the mer operon for reduction nonorganic mercury ions into less toxic form. The gene or its fragments are commonly used as molecular marker bacterial resistance to mercury. In this study, it was tested whether can be considered resistance. For purpose, presence in bacteria isolated from microbiota Tussilago farfara L. growing post-industrial mercury-contaminated and non-contaminated areas verified by identification. Mercury...

The article compares the classic Fenton reagent (Fe2+/H2O2) with its modification zero-valent iron (ZVI/H2O2) to remove azo dye Acid Red 27 from aqueous solutions at a concentration of 100 mg/L. For both methods, most favorable parameter values were determined which visual discoloration tested was obtained (for Fe2+/H2O2:pH 3.5, H2O2=60 mg/L, Fe2+/H2O2=0.3, t=15 min, and for ZVI/H2O2: pH 3, H2O2=40 ZVI=80 min). Under these conditions, COD value reduced by 71.5% 69.2% modification,...
