Scope This study investigates the ability of preterm milk exosomes to survive gastric/pancreatic digestion, internalization by intestinal epithelia, and microRNAs (miRNAs) contents. Methods results At average infant age 1 week 6 days, is collected from mothers who delivered term infants ( n = 10). Milk exposed conditions simulating gut digestion. Exosomes are isolated lysed, miRNAs sequenced. Preterm in vitro can be taken up epithelia. Three hundred thirty identified as exosome miRNAs,...

Abstract Hypoxia promotes inflammation in the tumor microenvironment. Although hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF1α) is a master modulator of response to hypoxia, exact mechanisms through which HIF1α regulates induction remain largely unclear. Using The Cancer Genome Atlas Lung Squamous Cell Carcinoma (TCGA-LUSC) database, we divided patients with LUSC into two groups based on low or high expression. After analyzing differentially expressed genes these groups, found that was positively...

Sepsis is a systemic inflammatory response syndrome resulting from infection. This study aimed at exploring the role of microRNA-140 (miR-140) in septic mice. Wnt family member 11 (WNT11) was verified to be target gene miR-140 after bioinformatic prediction and dual luciferase reporter assay. Importantly, negatively regulated WNT11. We initially induced model sepsis by endotoxin, then ectopic expression knockdown experiments were performed explore functional sepsis. Additionally,...

Selenium (Se) is an essential trace element involved in nearly all human physiological processes but suffers from a narrow margin between benefit and toxicity. The nanoform of selenium has been proven shown to be more bioavailable less toxic, yet significant challenges remain regarding the efficient feasible synthesis biologically active nanoselenium. In addition, although nanoselenium variety biological activities, interesting features are expected. this work, hydrosoluble termed Nano-Se...

Protection against hypoxia injury is an important therapeutic strategy for treating hypertensive nephropathy. In this study, the effects of Qian Yang Yu Yin granule (QYYY) on spontaneously rats fed with high salt diet and HEK293T cells exposed to were investigated. After eight weeks’ treatment QYYY, blood pressure, serum creatinine, cystatin C, urea nitrogen, urinary β2-microglobulin, N-acetyl-β-glucosaminidase, microalbumin assessed. The changes hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α),...

Background/Aims: Thermal injury causes pulmonary edema and can lead to death. Intercellular junctions are composed of adhesive (p120ctn, E-cadherin, α-catenin β-catenin) compact (occludin ZO-1) junctions. Heat deteriorates intercellular increases cell gaps ultimately induce edema, but the underlying mechanism remains elusive. Methods: Mouse lung epithelial (MLE-12) cells pre-treated with c-Src inhibitor PP2, p120ctn catenin (p120ctn) small interfering RNA complementary DNA were subjected...

Mutated JAK3 has been considered a promising target for cancer therapy. Activating mutations of are observed in 3.9%-10% acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients, but it is unclear whether AML cells sensitive to inhibitors, and no disease-related human cell model reported. We have identified U937 as the first line expressing JAK3M511I activated mutation confirmed that inhibitors sensitively suppress proliferation cells.

Abstract The surface functionalization by self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) favors well‐packed organic semiconductor growth and reduces interfacial traps, which assists in developing high‐performance thin‐film transistors (OTFTs). Herein, the conventional SAM from vapor phase is ameliorated systematically studied. With 1H,1H,2H,2H‐Perfluorodecyltrichlorosilane as an example, it found that deposition temperature of no less than 120 °C pressure up to 0.02 bar preferred for without morphological...

Exosomes are small extracellular vesicles critical for intercellular signaling via their delivery of cargoes, including proteins, DNA, RNA, lipids, and metabolites. play essential roles in remodeling the tumor microenvironment (TME) growth, metastasis, drug resistance. Aminated fullerenes (e.g., C70-ethylenediamine [EDA]) exhibit antineoplastic effects by targeting multiple functional proteins. Nanosized C70-EDA with positive surface charges tends to be taken up monocytes bloodstream...
