Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and 2,2',4,4',5,5'-hexabromobiphenyl (BB-153) are chemicals known as brominated flame retardants. We have assessed the exposure status of United States population to PBDEs BB-153 explored associations with demographic information, including participants' age, sex, race/ethnicity. A total 2,062 serum samples, from participants in National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2003-2004 aged 12 years older, were analyzed for BB-153; stratified...
Six polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), one hexabromobiphenyl [polybrominated biphenyl (PBB)], and hexachlorobiphenyl [polychlorinated (PCB)] were measured in 40 human serum pools collected the southeastern United States during 1985 through 2002 Seattle, Washington, for 1999 2002. The concentrations of most PBDEs, which are commercially used as flame retardants common household commercial applications, had significant positive correlations with time sample collection, showing that these...

Three new Oriental Issidae genera and two species identified by a previous molecular phylogeny analysis are described. Two belong to the tribe Kodaianellini: Kodaianellissus gen. nov., type species: K. intorqueus sp. nov. from China Tetricissus T. philo (Fennah, 1978) Vietnam. Another genus representing Sarimini: Longieusarima L. lunulia is described China.
Generic characteristics of the leafhopper genus Kusala Dworakowska are revised, and a new subgenus Scodela is established. A species checklist provided three added: (Kusala) viraktamathi, K. (Scodela) directa (S.) sinuata spp. nov.. The related Diomma Motschulsky also redescribed described: (Diomma) sangzhiensis sp.
General characteristics of Anufrievia Dworakowska and a key to the species from China Thailand are provided. Twenty-one new species, adaucta, A. arcuata, curva, expensa, falcata, forcipiformis, fusina, jinghongensis, liubanus, parisakazu, plana, qinlingensis, quadrata, sphenoides, subapicifixa, subdentata, sufflata, symmetrica, triangulata, triprocessa wolongensis described. Four newly recorded China: akazu (Matsumura), badjawae Dworakowska, bauhinicola Viraktamath zelta Dworakowska. is also...
Two new genera of the tribe Sarimini are described from south China. They Sarimissus gen. nov. with a species S. maculifrons sp. Hainan province and Duplexissus D. punctatulus Yunnan province. The photos habitus male genitalia provided. biology, distribution origin discussed.
Mendozellus paralaredanus sp. n. from Uruguay and M. rakitovi Peru are described. asunctia Cheng is redescribed, the ovipositor illustrated for first time, newly recorded Argentina. serratus DeLong transferred to Haldorus Oman based on male genitalia structure, creating new combination H. (DeLong), comb. A checklist key species of provided.
A new genus Dolichocaudus gen. n. with two species, D. acicephalus sp. and brevicephalus n., is described illustrated based on specimens from China Thailand. This differs the closely related genera Transvenosus Wang & Zhang Cunedda Distant in having a larger body, digitiform male pygofer apex, strongly elevated keel-like median longitudinal carina of crown indistinctively inflated anteclypeus, front femur row AV 6 enlarged basal setae.
The leafhopper genus Takagioma Thapa, 1989 is recorded from China for the first time. Six species, T. pagoda Kang and Zhang, rostra Qin Huang, gladius curvata anguis Huang longicuada spp. nov, are described illustrated. A check-list a key to all species of provided.
The leafhopper genus Hylica Stål is reported from China for the first time with its type species H. paradoxa Stål; male genitalia and female ovipositor are described illustrated time. A new species, scutealba sp. n., India illustrated. key to of provided. also recorded Laos, Nepal, Thailand Viet Nam
Two new species, Sochinsogonia multimacula and S. radicalia spp. nov., of the genus Young from Philippines are described illustrated. A key to distinguish this closely related Oriental genera is provided. species checklist also
The leafhopper genus Thaia Ghauri, 1962 and two related genera, Parathaia Kuoh, 1982 Pseudothaia 1982, are revised. Nlunga Dworakowska, 1974, previously treated as a subgenus of Thaia, is elevated to the level, synonym reinstated valid status. Oriental species lacking foveae on pronotum excluded from transferred new genus, Etmaria gen. n. Two species, caudata Song & Li, 2013 (Nlunga) leishanensis (Song 2007), Incertae sedis within Erythroneurini. Moreover, nine additional described...
The leafhopper subfamily Idiocerinae is revised for Malaysia. Thirteen genera and 17 species are recognized including 1 new genus, Serridiocerus n. gen., 2 species, membranaceus sp. Burmascopus longidens sp., 3 newly recorded species: rec., Chunra Philipposcopus australis maquilingensis rec.. A checklist a key to of Malaysian also provided.
The fauna of Thailand was previously known to include only a single species Macropsini. Study an extensive collection recent Malaise trap samples from revealed the presence five additional this leafhopper tribe, including two new species, Pediopsis thailandensis and Varicopsella odontoida spp. nov., described illustrated herein; three Macropsis hainanensis, P. rufoscutellata V. elegans, recorded neighboring countries. A key genera Macropsini is provided.
