Data from 752 Bahamian youth and their parents were analyzed to examine the relationship of depression with risk involvement, parental monitoring, parent-youth communication. Depressed older, more likely engage in behaviors, they perceived significantly lower levels monitoring higher impaired communication than did nondepressed youth.
