A 4-day-old neonate presented with respiratory distress owing to chest wall deformity associated metabolic bone disease. He was found have congenital hyperparathyroidism and his mother suffering from post-surgical hypoparathyroidism vitamin D deficiency. Abstract The off-label use of tigecycline to treat serious infections has been reported in pediatric patients. We report four newborn infants diagnosed with sepsis caused by extensively drug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae and successfully treated tigecycline.
