Obesity has been linked to metabolic syndrome (MS), which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Polymorphisms Apolipoprotein E have also associated with increased CVD risk. The optimal dietary approach for managing glycemic and metabolic control in type 2 diabetes (T2D) is still uncertain, though it should be tailored clinical settings. Therefore, we sought to assess the impact of a multicomponent nutritional strategy on T2D patients within public health system.
