Summary This work presents the preparation of modified titanates nanotubes with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TNT‐TEOS) and their use in synthesis TNT‐TEOS/polyurethane nanocomposite by situ polymerization. The filler was added a proportion 1% (w/w) relative to polyol weight. TNT‐TEOS presented specific surface area 127 m 2 /g lower than that obtained for TNT (177 /g). addition polyurethane matrix promoted an increase thermal stability polymer when compared pure PU crystallinity as observed...
Aliphatic polyurethane (PU) nanocomposites were prepared using modified titanate nanotubes (TNTs) as filler in order to improve the mechanical and thermal properties of initial polymer. With a view achieving greater interaction between polymer chains TNTs, latter was functionalized with hexamethylene diisocyanate (H) and/or aminopropyl trimethoxysilane groups (A), producing TNTH, TNTA, or TNTHA. The thermogravimetric analyses used quantify amount anchored or/and silanol identified H function...
Waterborne polyurethanes (WPUs) are interesting materials for coatings when compared to solvent-based polyurethanes, once that reducing the concentration of volatile organic compounds harmful human health and environment. However, WPU has low weathering resistance. In order improve this behavior among others properties, inorganic fillers been added in these systems. SiO2 particles from various sources, mainly, agro-industrial waste, as rice husk attracted scientific technological interest....
Abstract Poly(lactic acid) (PLA) films with 1 wt% of amber extract (AbE) as a bio‐additive were obtained through solvent mixing using 1,4‐dioxane, which was later evaporated. The extract, derived from the residual generated during jewelry manufacturing in Gdansk region (Poland), evaluated for its morphology and thermal response. resulting transparent, addition AbE imparted yellow hue. crystallinity characteristics PLA/AbE analyzed FTIR, DSC, POM, XRD results. cold crystallization ability PLA...
Nanocomposites of Titanates Nanotubes (TNTs) and waterborne polyurethane were prepared by physical mixture using ultra turrax disperser. TNTs synthesized hydrothermal method added in different contents: 1, 3, 5% w/w relation to polymer weight. Films characterized DSC, TGA, DMA SEM. The increase fillers content reduced the thermal stability DPU nanocomposites compared pure did not modify glass transition temperature. To mechanical properties, addition 3% TNT increased Young's modulus when...
Purification of biodiesel with dry adsorbents is an alternative method, as it uses compounds that eliminate the need for water in process without generating liquid effluent. Currently, there little discussion about reuse different types and this context, present work presents efficient method purification investigates performance Magnesol® order to generate less waste environment. Therefore, used was washed several solvents polarity characteristics. Among tested, THF best solvent and, after...
