Abstract. Aerosol acidity plays a key role in secondary aerosol formation. The high-temporal-resolution PM2.5 pH and size-resolved Beijing were calculated with ISORROPIA II. In 2016–2017, the mean (at relative humidity (RH) > 30 %) over four seasons was 4.5±0.7 (winter) 4.4±1.2 (spring) 4.3±0.8 (autumn) 3.8±1.2 (summer), showing moderate acidity. coarse-mode aerosols, Ca2+ played an important pH. Under heavily polluted conditions, more ions accumulated coarse mode, leading to of aerosols...

ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) enabled secure multicast communication system, where a UAV serves multiple legitimate ground users in the presence of coordinated eavesdroppers. Taking into account inherent jittering characteristics UAVs caused by airflow, aim to maximise worst‐case secrecy energy efficiency (SEE) under constrained transmission power budget. The formulated optimization problem is inherently non‐convex and challenging solve due combined...

Abstract. A novel Pd(0)/Au(I) relay catalysis strategy for converting propargylic cyclic carbonates into furans is reported. The method capitalizes on the sequential transformation of a palladium‐stabilized alkoxide‐π‐allyl intermediate gold‐stabilized dihydrofuran species, enabled by cooperative action palladium and gold catalysts. This approach notable its simplicity, broad functional group compatibility, use readily available substrates. By extending methodology to five‐membered...

Abstract. Heavy regional particulate matter (PM) pollution in China has resulted an important and urgent need for joint control actions among cities. It is advisable to improve the understanding of background concentration PM development efficient effective policies. With increase height influence source emission on local air quality decreases with altitude, but characteristics gradually become obvious. A method estimate proposed this paper, based vertical periodic variation atmospheric...

Abstract Reducing ambient black carbon (BC) relies on the targeted control of anthropogenic emissions. Measuring emission changes in source‐specific BC aerosol is essential to assess effectiveness regulatory policies but difficult due presence meteorology and multiple co‐existing Herein, we propose a data‐driven approach, combining dispersion‐normalized factor analysis (DN‐PMF) with machine learning weather adjustment (deweathering) technique, decompose into source emissions meteorological...

Abstract The hygroscopicity parameter ( κ ) has been widely used in studies of aerosol hygroscopic growth and cloud condensation nucleus activation, but the effect relative humidity (RH) variations on ambient is rarely discussed often ignored application ‐Köhler theory. In this study, an improved humidified nephelometer system was to measure scattering enhancement f (RH)) bulk aerosols RH‐dependent derived. It found that both pure inorganic water‐soluble electrolytes significantly...
