A sample of 192 financially impoverished, inner-city women was assessed for clinical depression twice during pregnancy and once postpartum. At the first second antepartum interviews, respectively, 27.6% 24.5% were depressed, controlling pregnancy-related somatic symptoms. Postpartum found among 23.4% women. These rates are about double those middle-class samples. Particularly heightened risk single who did not have a cohabiting partner. African American European differ in depression....
We provide a set of stellar evolution and nucleosynthesis calculations that applies established physics assumptions simultaneously to low- intermediate-mass massive star models. Our goal is an internally consistent comprehensive nuclear production yield data base for applications in areas such as pre-solar grain studies. non-rotating models assume convective boundary mixing where it has been adopted before. include 8 (12) initial masses $Z = 0.01$ ($0.02$). Models are followed either until...
OBJECTIVES: In recognition of the fact that police are often first responders for individuals who experiencing a mental illness crisis, departments nationally incorporating specialized training officers in collaboration with local health systems. This study examined dispatch data before and after implementation crisis intervention team (CIT) program to assess effect on officers' disposition calls. METHODS: The authors analyzed logs two years four CIT Akron, Ohio, determine monthly average...
The authors examined the prospective influence of stress, self-esteem, and social support on postpartum depressive symptoms 191 inner-city women (139 European Americans 52 African Americans) over 3 waves data collection. Depressive symptomatology was measured by multiple indicators, including self-report clinical scales. Women became less depressed as they move from prenatal to stages adjusted their pregnancy its consequences. LISREL regression analyses indicated that stress related...
We provide here a significant extension of the NuGrid Set 1 models in mass coverage and toward lower metallicity, adopting same physics assumptions. The combined data set now includes initial masses M/Msun = 1, 1.65, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 15, 20, 25 for Z 0.02, 0.01, 0.006, 0.001, 0.0001 with alpha-enhanced composition lowest three metallicities. These are computed MESA stellar evolution code evolved up to AGB, white dwarf stage, or until core collapse. nucleosynthesis was calculated all...
The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a major cause of chronic liver disease, affecting around 71 million people worldwide. Viral RNA replication occurs in membranous compartment composed double-membrane vesicles (DMVs), whereas particles are thought to form by budding into the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It unknown how these steps orchestrated space and time. Here, we established an imaging system visualize HCV structural replicase proteins live cells with high resolution. We determined conditions...
We investigate the evolution of super-AGB thermal pulse (TP) stars for a range metallicities (Z) and explore effect convective boundary mixing (CBM). With decreasing metallicity along TP phase, He-shell flash third dredge-up (TDU) occur closer together in time. After some time (depending upon CBM parameterisation), efficient TDU begins while pulse-driven convection zone (PDCZ) is still present, causing exchange material between PDCZ envelope. This results ingestion protons into He-burning...
Based on stellar evolution simulations, we demonstrate that rapidly accreting white dwarfs in close binary systems are an astrophysical site for the intermediate neutron-capture process. During recurrent and very strong He-shell flashes stable H-burning accretion regime H-rich material enters flash convection zone. $^{12}$C(p,$\gamma)^{13}$N reactions release enough energy to potentially impact convection, i process is activated through $^{13}$C($\alpha$,n)$^{16}$O reaction. The H-ingestion...
Abstract Pathogens face varying microenvironments in vivo, but suitable experimental systems and analysis tools to dissect how three-dimensional (3D) tissue environments impact pathogen spread are lacking. Here we develop an Integrative method Study Pathogen by Experiment Computation within Tissue-like 3D cultures (INSPECT-3D), combining quantification of replication with imaging study single-cell cell population dynamics. We apply INSPECT-3D analyze HIV-1 between primary human CD4...
Survey data were used to assess how training affects changes in officers' perceptions of persons with mental illness as well police and the health system's preparedness addressing their needs. Officers' confidence ability handle calls involving people crisis increased most over time. Exploratory analysis indicated that this increase was positively associated pretraining degree which present a problem for department. This perception department's overall effectiveness meeting needs negatively...
The $s$-process nucleosynthesis in Asymptotic Giant Branch (AGB) stars depends on the modeling of convective boundaries. We present models and s-process simulations that adopt a treatment boundaries based results hydrodynamic theory mixing due to gravity waves vicinity Hydrodynamics suggest presence boundary (CBM) at bottom thermal pulse-driven zone. Similarly, convection-induced processes are proposed for below envelope during third dredge-up where 13C pocket s process AGB forms. In this...
Deep learning has achieved astonishing results on many tasks with large amounts of data and generalization within the proximity training data. For important real-world applications, these requirements are unfeasible additional prior knowledge task domain is required to overcome resulting problems. In particular, physics models for model-based control requires robust extrapolation from fewer samples - often collected online in real-time model errors may lead drastic damages system. Directly...
We use a perceptual control model of identity to examine the relationship between stigmatized appraisals (from self and other) well-being among individuals with serious mental illness. also role stigma resistance strategies in process. Using in-depth interviews active clients community health center (N = 156), we find that deflection, or distancing oneself from illness, is associated greater self-esteem fewer depressive symptoms. Challenging others through education higher self-esteem,...
Polyurethane foams are widely used in many industrial applications: automotive, upholstered furniture and mattresses, insulating panels for building, etc. By its chemical nature, polyurethane is very flammable the flammability of an important industry issue. Depending on final application, test methods place to characterise foam combustion legislation exists ensure that comply with specific standards. This paper deals fire properties flexible foams. Abstract We address the deficiency of odd-Z elements P, Cl, K and Sc in Galactic chemical evolution models through an investigation nucleosynthesis interacting convective O C shells massive stars. 3D hydrodynamic simulations O-shell convection with moderate C-ingestion rates show no dramatic deviation from spherical symmetry. derive a spherically averaged diffusion coefficient for 1D simulations, which that such convective–reactive ingestion events can be production site Sc. An entrainment...
Interactions between convective shells in evolved massive stars have been linked to supernova impostors, the production of odd-Z elements Cl, K, and Sc, they might also help generate large-scale asphericities that are known facilitate shock revival explosion models. We investigate process ingestion C-shell material into a O-burning shell, including hydrodynamic feedback from nuclear burning ingested material. Our 3D simulations span almost 3 dex total luminosity $L_\mathrm{tot}$. All but one...
