We demonstrate molecular control of nanoscale composition, alloying, and morphology (aspect ratio) in CdS-CdSe nanocrystal dots rods by modulating the chemical reactivity phosphine-chalcogenide precursors. Specific precursors studied were sulfides selenides triphenylphosphite (TPP), diphenylpropylphosphine (DPP), tributylphosphine (TBP), trioctylphosphine (TOP), hexaethylphosphorustriamide (HPT). Computational (DFT), NMR ((31)P (77)Se), high-temperature crossover studies unambiguously...

Thermostability is "conditio sine qua non" (a necessity) if organometallic compounds are used in the homogeneous catalysis of endothermic processes such as dehydrogenation alkanes to alkenes and hydrogen (see scheme). This thermostability other requirements for a catalyst fulfilled by anthraphos iridium(III)dihydride complex 1.

Abstract 3D printing (3DP) has brought endless possibilities to the manufacturing industry. Biodegradable high‐polymer materials such as polylactic acid (PLA) and polycaprolactone (PCL) have attracted widespread attention. However, optimize performance, this study prepared six PLA/PCL composite with ratios of 4:6, 5:5, 6:4, by adding Polyethylene Glycol 4000 (PEG 4000) a plasticizer nano silica reinforcing agent. Parameters that can affect quality, including formulation, temperature (150,...

A better understanding of the chemistry molecular precursors is useful in achieving more predictable and reproducible nanocrystal preparations. Recently, an efficient approach was introduced that consists fine-tuning chemical reactivity synthetic used, while keeping all other reaction conditions constant. Using nickel phosphides as a research platform, we have studied how structure family commercially available organophosphite (P(OR)3, R = alkyl or aryl) alter preparation metallic metal...

Palladium(II)‐catalyzed C–H functionalization has attracted considerable attention as a pathway to late‐stage modification of peptides. Herein, we report the Pd‐catalyzed C(sp3)–H arylation peptides directed by an amidoxime ether, which can be easily incorporated into at any amide bond. Site‐ and stereoselective been achieved, including unprecedented example internal residue. Removal ether was achieved generate parent facilitate traceless process.
