Abstract Polyurethanes with various NCO/OH ratios and kraft lignin contents were synthesized by polymerization of (free the low high molecular weight fractions), a propylene–oxide‐based polyether triol polymeric MDI in tetrahydrofuran solution. Films made solvent casting tested respect to swelling behavior tensile properties. The main findings were: At ratios, contributed effectively formation three dimensional network; under particular conditions ratio content, polyurethanes considerable...

The electrode performance of a single solid‐fuel cell (SOFC) was evaluated using 500 μm thick (LSGM) as the electrolyte membrane. A doped lanthanum cobaltite, selected cathode material, and samaria‐doped ceria‐NiO composite powder used anode material. spray‐pyrolysis method applied for synthesis starting powders anode. In this study, different microstructures were obtained by varying sintering temperature from 950 to 1200°C. High power density (the maximum about , which is 95% theoretical...

Water molecules in hydrogels were classified into three categories according to phase transition behavior; non-freezing, freezing bound and free water. Melting, crystallization, glass of water reflected the state interacting with polysaccharides. Freezing formed metastable ice by slow cooling amorphous quenching. From isothermal crystallization measurement, nucleation rate crystal growth obtained. The was about ten times slower than that DSC characterization summarized.

The self-diffusion coefficients of the lithium ion, anion, and solvent in electrolytes prepared by dissolving six salts bis(oxalateborate)) γ-butyrolactone (GBL) were measured using pulsed gradient spin-echo nuclear magnetic resonance. ionic conductivity calculated from ion was compared with electrochemically conductivity. In each sample, GBL diffused fastest, followed anion then ion. diffusion cation insensitive to anions. On average solvated about two molecules. hydrodynamic size anions...

The equilibrium isotherm and the breakthrough curve for adsorption of Hg(II) on polyaminated highly porous chitosan beads (PEI-CS) were compared with those Unicellex UR-120H which was best commercial chelate resin removal in Japan. As intraparticle effective diffusivity D eff PEI-CS about two times larger than that UR 120H, capacity also UR-120H, appeared feasible technically. concentration profiles measured different period time using X-ray micro-analyzer. value almost constant at 4 Re ′ 7,...

Sintering of SDC significantly promoted adding a small amount gallium. that had 1% gallium added, sintered at 1450°C, showed almost same properties as 1600°C. Measurements addition gallia could reduce sintering temperature 150°C without deteriorating an electrolyte for solid oxide fuel cells.
