Microalgae harvesting was a bottleneck for controlling eutrophic waterbody and microalgal biofuel production, the combination of Microbial floculant (MBF) alum used to flocculate Microcystis aeruginosa in different conditions.The results showed that MBF had better flocculation on algae than with other aluminum salts; could aggregated algal cells form small flocs by charge neutralization link together via netting bridging action; floc floated surface solution which made it is easy harvest.
