We report the evolution of magnetic field and its energy in NOAA active region 11158 over 5 days based on a vector magnetogram series from Helioseismic Magnetic Imager (HMI) board Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO). Fast flux emergence strong shearing motion led to quadrupolar sunspot complex that produced several major eruptions, including first X-class flare Cycle 24. Extrapolated non-linear force-free coronal fields show substantial electric current free increase during early near low-lying...
Where particle acceleration and plasma heating take place in relation to magnetic reconnection is a fundamental question for solar flares. We report analysis of an M7.7 flare on 2012 July 19 observed by SDO/AIA RHESSI. Bi-directional outflows forms plasmoid ejections contracting cusp-shaped loops originate between erupting flux rope underlying at speeds typically 200-300 km/s up 1050 km/s. These are associated with spatially separated double coronal X-ray sources centroid separation...
Sepsis, a widely recognized disease, is characterized by multiple pathogen infections. Therefore, it imperative to develop methods that can efficiently identify and neutralize species. Phage cocktail therapy utilizes the host specificity of phages adapt infect resistant bacteria. However, its low sterilization stability efficiency lack imaging units seriously restrict application. Here, novel strategy combining aggregation-induced emission photosensitizer (AIE-PS) TBTCP-PMB with through...
Aqueous microsupercapacitors (AMSCs) with safe and low-cost are anticipated as a leading choice for micro energy storage devices. Nevertheless, the current issue AMSCs is their extremely low area density power density, which caused by strong interaction between metal ions well stacking properties of thick electrodes. Herein, we develop based on tailoring mechanism NH4+/H+ co-adsorption into hydroxylated Ti3C2 MXene (h-Ti3C2 MXene). This enhances adsorption kinetics electrode materials. The...
We report one of several homologous non-radial eruptions from NOAA active region (AR) 11158 that are strongly modulated by the local magnetic field as observed with Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO). A small bipole emerged in sunspot complex and subsequently created a quadrupolar flux system. Non-linear force-free (NLFFF) extrapolation vector magnetograms reveals its energetic nature: fast-shearing accumulated ~2e31 erg free energy (10% AR total) over just day despite relatively (5% total)....
Abstract Dental caries is among the most prevalent dental diseases globally, which arises from formation of microbial biofilm on teeth. Besides, tooth whitening represents one fastest‐growing areas cosmetic dentistry. It will thus be great if eradication can combined with whitening. Herein, a highly efficient photodynamic therapy strategy reported for and discoloration by employing photosensitizer (DTTPB) aggregation‐induced emission characteristics. DTTPB efficiently inactivate S. mutans ,...
Microorganisms and cancer have always been the fierce enemies of human beings, but traditional methods treating them still many defects. Therefore, it is extremely important to develop rapid, effective safe treatments. Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) has attracted much attention because its advantages non-invasive, non-drug tolerance, high selectivity low toxicity. As a result, more scientists are committed developing better photosensitizers enhance efficiency PDT in therapy microorganisms as...
Hierarchical self-assembly from simple building blocks to complex polymers is a feasible approach constructing multi-functional smart materials. However, the polymerization process of often involves challenges such as design and drive external energy. Here, hierarchical with self-driven energy conversion capabilities based on p-aminophenol diethylenetriamine reported. Through β-galactosidase (β-Gal) specific activation self-assembly, intelligent assemblies (oligomer superpolymer) excellent...
We report the first detection of >100 MeV gamma rays associated with a behind-the-limb solar flare, which presents unique opportunity to probe underlying physics high-energy flare emission and particle acceleration. On 2013 October 11 GOES M1.5 class occurred ~ 9.9 degrees behind limb as observed by STEREO-B. RHESSI hard X-ray above limb, most likely from loop-top, footpoints were occulted. Surprisingly, Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) detected gamma-rays for ~30 minutes energies up GeV....
Abstract High‐safety potassium‐ion batteries (HPIBs) are highly intriguing owing to their green energy, low cost, high voltage, noncombustible, and simple assembly. However, most high‐voltage HPIBs use water‐in‐salt electrolytes (WISE), which lead several problems, such as a viscosity, significantly reduces the performance increases cost of HPIBs, thus impeding development. Unfortunately, studies regarding HPIB remain limited, further limiting development HPIBs. Herein, co‐solvent...
In this paper, the distortion of simply supported girders with inner diaphragms subjected to concentrated eccentric loads is investigated using initial parameter method (IPM), in which in-plane shear deformation fully considered. A statically indeterminate structure was modeled redundant forces, where interactions between girder and were indicated by a distortional moment. Considering compatibility condition diaphragms, solutions for angle, warping displacements stresses derived further...
Abstract Crane systems have been widely applied in logistics due to their efficiency of transportation. The parameters a crane system may vary from each transport, therefore the anti‐sway controller should be designed insensitive variation parameters. In this paper, we focus on pure neural network adaptive tracking design issue that does not require systems, i.e. trolley mass, payload cable lengths, and etc. proposed only requires output feedback signals trolley, position velocity, which...
[Abridged]We present analysis of a pair unusually energetic coronal hard X-ray (HXR) sources detected by RHESSI during the impulsive phase an X3.9 class solar flare on 2003 November 3, which simultaneously shows two intense footpoint (FP) sources. A distinct loop top (LT) source is up to ~150 keV and second (upper) ~80 keV. These photon energies are much higher than commonly observed in pose grave modeling challenges. The LT general appears altitude with increasing energy exhibits more...
Following our recent paper, we have developed an inversion method to determine the basic characteristics of particle acceleration mechanism directly and non-parametrically from observations under leaky box framework. Earlier, demonstrated this for obtaining energy dependences escape time pitch angle scattering time. Here, by converting Fokker–Planck equation its integral form, derive diffusion coefficient direct rate stochastic in terms accelerated escaping spectra. Combining regularized...
In this paper, a novel sliding mode controller which requires partial state feedback is proposed for double-pendulum overhead cranes subject to unknown payload parameters and external disturbances. Firstly, it theoretically proved that the hook tend their respective equilibrium points concurrently. Secondly, decoupling transformation performed on original nonlinear dynamics of cranes. The does not require prior information motion signals designed based decoupled dynamics. Then, asymptotic...
The model of stochastic acceleration particles by turbulence has been successful in explaining many observed features solar flares. Here, we demonstrate a new method to obtain the accelerated electron spectrum and important parameters from high-resolution hard X-ray (HXR) observations provided RHESSI. In our model, electrons at or very near loop top (LT) produce thin target bremsstrahlung emission there then escape downward producing thick footpoints (FPs). Based on flux spectral images...
