Over the last decade, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy has become an increasingly important and popular mode of noninvasive respiratory support. HFNC facilitates delivery humidified heated oxygen at a high flow rate generates positive airway pressure. We present five cases children with OSA without adenotonsillar hypertrophy who were treated HFNC.We demonstrated statistically significant improvement in apnea-hypopnea index nadir saturation this small cohort. We our successful experience...

We performed an observational pilot study of plasma concentrations N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) in premature infants with a diagnosis bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) at 4 weeks age and after 1 month conventional therapy. Thirty-four born before 34 weeks' gestational without cardiac or infectious diseases were included. Serum NT-pro-BNP was measured all neonates age. In the BPD (n = 11), measurements repeated 6 8 under treatment. Specific clinical characteristics collected...

Ureteral motility was studied in isolated preparations obtained from 19 patients at surgery. Contraction monitored an organ bath and contraction recorded isometrically. In all but one patient rhythmic activity with a frequency of 2.0±0.3 contractions/min recorded. 6 contractions had to be elicited by stimulation prostaglandin E2 or F2α. the remaining cases started spontaneously within 30 min. bilharzia nephropathy various pathological types were Motility dose-dependently inhibited indomethacin.

The first one consisted (105 102 females). In these patients, was measured as well selected anthropometric variables (height, weight), vital signs (respiratory rate, pulse rate body temperature) obtained data on menstrual cycle phase female participants. For second cohort, we reanalyzed...

Exercise challenge test (ECT) may help in the diagnosis of asthma. Asthma is season dependent (relative summer nadir). This study was designed to prospectively show that ECT sensitivity decreases when performed and/or out personal asthma season. We two ECTs 49 patients with suspected asthma, at baseline and least 6 months later. Test positivity defined as a ≥10% drop forced expiratory volume 1 second after exercise. Patients were having exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) if one tests...

Capping protein regulator and myosin 1 linker 2 (CARMIL2) deficiency is characterized by impaired T cell activation, which attributed to defective CD28-mediated co-signaling. Herein, we aimed analyze the effect of exogenous interleukin (IL)-2 on in-vitro activation proliferation in a family with CARMIL2 deficiency. This study included four children (one male three females; aged 2·5-10 years at presentation). The patients presented inflammatory bowel disease recurrent viral infections....
