To demonstrate the resistance of antibiotics and disinfectants to Escherichia coli isolates, 255 E. strains were isolated from 328 retail meat samples in this study. Susceptibility testing results showed that 85.5% isolates resistant at least one antibiotic drug. The highest sulfamethoxazole (61.6%), followed by tetracycline (61.2%), ampicillin (48.2%), cefalotin (29.8%), kanamycin (22.4%). minimum inhibitory concentrations cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, N,N-didecyl-N,N-dimethylammonium...

Pyrolysis temperature affects biochar properties, which in turn determine its application potential. Here, we examined the properties of crofton weed (C-BC) produced at different pyrolysis temperatures 300°C, 400°C, 500°C, and 600°C. We measured yield, ash content, pH, iodine sorption value (ISV), elemental composition C-BC. also characterized C-BC using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared, as well ability to remove Pb2+ Cd2+ from aqueous...

With the rapid development of industrialization, amount copper-containing wastewater is increasing, thereby posing a threat to aquatic ecological environment and human health. Sludge biochar has received extensive concern in recent years due its advantages low cost sustainability for treatment heavy-metal-containing wastewater. However, heavy-metal-adsorption capacity sludge limited. This study prepared sodium pyrophosphate- (Na 4 P 2 O 7 -) modified municipal sludge-based (SP-SBC) evaluated...

The study aims to demonstrate the antimicrobial and disinfectant resistance phenotypes genotypes of Escherichia coli isolates obtained from giant pandas (Ailuropoda melanoleuca). Antimicrobial testing was performed according standard disk diffusion method. minimal inhibitory concentrations (MICs) disinfectants were determined using agar dilution All screened for presence genes further analysed genetic relatedness by pulse‐field gel electrophoresis (PFGE). Results showed that 46·6% resistant...

Crofton weed, a noxious invasive plant, was evaluated as biosorbent for the adsorption of Cu(II) from aqueous solution. Firstly, physicochemical characteristics crofton weed (CWBS) were determined by chemical and instrumental analyses. Secondly, batch experiments various influence parameters carried out to investigate behaviors CWBS. Thirdly, reusability CWBS an adsorption–desorption experiment. Lastly, mechanisms explored. had certain cation exchange capacity (1.05 meq g−1), irregular rough...

To provide the basic information about release of heavy metals from pyrite tailings Huangjiagou mine, were investigated through a series batch experiments under different initial pH extractant, temperature, liquid-solid (LS) ratio, and soaking time conditions. Moreover, calcium carbonate was added in to determine reduction effect on metals. The results show that Fe, Cr, Cu, Mn, Zn, Ni major tailings. Low high LS ratio significantly promoted Ni, Zn release, temperature release. Only small...
