Abstract The research aims to better balance energy dissipation (ED) and self‐centering capacities of posttensioning (PT) precast segmental ultra‐high performance concrete bridge columns by adjusting common design parameters. A numerical model is established based on the equivalent plastic hinge validated cyclic loading test. used conduct a parametric study investigate effects seven parameters ED capacities. results show proposed can accurately predict columns. effect strength‐yield ratio be...
In the service period, instability of ballastless track bed are mostly related to damage interlayers which mainly resulted from incompatible thermal deformation interlayers. The temperature field within shows significant non-uniformity due large difference in materials various structure layers, leading a considerable force bearing different layers. Unit Ballastless Track Bed (UBTB) is most significantly affected by gradient. UBTB follows trend ellipsoid-shape buckling under effect gradient,...
In areas with large temperature differences, the uneven distribution of temperatures in CRTSⅢ ballastless track slab due to daytime sunlight can cause warpage deformation, leading periodic rail irregularities that increase wheel-rail impact high-speed vehicles and accelerate structure damage. Therefore, it is necessary study dynamic contact relationship between composite base plate during vehicle running. The results show that: 1) Under influence gradients, tends deform elliptically. With a...
To determine the mechanical properties of cement asphalt mortar (CAM) in field, this contribution first presents a model to elaborate relationship strength ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV). Next, test (compressive, flexural strength, and static modulus) UPV are conducted on CAM at different ages calibrate proposed model. Finally, three fitted formulas established based verified with additional results. Results suggest that is helpful method for estimating field can reach high precision.
The flexible pile composite foundation (FPCF) in deep soft soil regions often experiences post-work settlement, leading to rail irregularities the high-speed railway (HSR). However, few studies have identified characteristics of settlement sources (PWSS) for FPCF. Hence, a calculation method modulus under PWSS has yet be established. Based on full-scale field test FPCF (HSR), this study analysed time-varying and location PWSS. By analysing properties materials additional stress FPCF,...
Push plate test is a powerful tool to evaluate the interfacial bond performance of China railway track structure type‐II slab ballastless (CRTS II SBTS). However, there still lack theoretical explanation push test. In this paper, linear proportional distribution method proposed in terms series analytical formulas describe force‐displacement variation CRTS SBTS different damage stages horizontal The relationship established by agrees well with that observed full‐scale then simulated, which...
This paper developed a time domain simplified model to study the effect of control measures on wheel/rail noise when vehicle curves. The consists two parts, one being vehicle-track coupling dynamic for interaction, other transient finite element and boundary vibration sound radiation. Wheel/rail under lateral creep force is predicted narrowly curved section conventional underground railway, compared with measurement. Based model, friction modification squeal investigated. In addition,...
The static behavior of grouped large-headed studs (d = 30 mm) embedded in ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) was investigated by conducting push-out tests and numerical analysis. In the test, no splitting cracks were found UHPC slab, shank failure control shear capacity, indicating stud matches well with mechanical properties UHPC. Besides, it is that resistance 11.4% higher than normal strength concrete, improved. Regarding analysis, parametric study conducted to investigate influence...
Structural damage identification has been a focus of civil engineering research in recent years. Therefore, this paper focuses on the advantages and disadvantages various methods, including model updates, genetic algorithms, neural networks, support vector machines, dynamic fingerprints, wavelet transformations, Hilbert-Huang transform. This also discusses latest combined with building information modeling (BIM) deep learning. Finally, it is demonstrated that comparing accuracy different...
