NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptors are excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain critical for synaptic plasticity and neuronal development. These Ca2+-permeable glutamate-gated ion channels whose physiological properties regulated by intracellular Ca2+. We report here purification of a 20 kDa protein identified as calmodulin that interacts with NR1 subunit receptor. Calmodulin binding to is Ca2+ dependent occurs homomeric complexes, heteromeric NR1/NR2 from brain. Furthermore, causes...

Ca2+ influx through N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptors activates signal transduction pathways critical for many forms of synaptic plasticity in the brain. NMDA receptor-mediated also downregulates gating channels a process called Ca2+-dependent inactivation (CDI). Recent studies have demonstrated that calcium binding protein calmodulin directly interacts with receptors, suggesting may play role CDI. We report here mutation specific site CO region NR1 subunit receptor blocks Moreover,...

MYB transcription factor (TF) is one of the largest superfamilies that play a vital role in multiple plant biological processes. However, family has not been comprehensively identified and functionally verified Cajanus cajan, which sixth most important legume crop. Here, 170 CcR2R3-MYBs were divided into 43 functional subgroups. Segmental tandem duplications alternative splicing events found promoted expansion CcR2R3-MYB gene family. Functional prediction results showed mainly involved...

Plant leucine-rich repeat (LRR) receptor-like kinases (RLKs) and LRR proteins (RLPs) comprise a large family of cell surface receptors that play critical roles in signal perception transduction. Both LRR-RLKs LRR-RLPs rely on regulatory to initiate downstream signaling pathways. BRASSINOSTEROID INSENSITIVE 1-ASSOCIATED KINASE 1/SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS RECEPTOR 3 (BAK1/SERK3) SUPPRESSOR OF BIR1-1 (SOBIR1) are important extensively studied with distinct functions. Although the mechanism BAK1...

Abstract This unit describes the preparation of dimethoxytrityl (DMTr)−protected α‐ L ‐threofuranosyl nucleic acid (TNA) phosphoramidite monomers for A, C, G, T, and diaminopurine, as well their incorporation into TNA oligonucleotides by solid‐phase synthesis. Starting from commercially available ‐ascorbic acid, protected threofuranosyl sugar is obtained in four steps. Vorbrüggen‐Hilbert‐Johnson glycosylation affords desired nucleosides, which are converted to corresponding DMTr‐protected...

Abstract Microneme protein 2 (MIC2) and MIC2-associated (M2AP) play crucial roles in the gliding motility host cell invasion of Toxoplasma gondii . Complex formation between MIC2 M2AP is required for maturation transport from microneme to parasite surface.
