The targeted design and simulation of a new family zeolitic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) based on benzenedicarboxylate (BDC) as the ligand epsilon-type Keggin polyoxometalates (POMs) building units, named here Z-POMOFs, have been performed. A key feature is use analogy between connectivity silicon in dense minerals zeolites with that POMs capped Zn(II) ions. Handling epsilon-Keggin block, selection 21 zeotype structures, together series were constructed their relative stabilities...

We investigate here a new family of zeolitic Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) based on imidazole (im) as the ligand and epsilon-type Keggin PolyOxoMetalates (POMs) building units. The POM used in this study is epsilon-{PMo(12)O(40)} isomer capped by four Zn(ii) ions (noted epsilon-Zn) tetrahedral coordination. describe our methods to first construct then evaluate stability hypothetical 3-D POMOFs possessing network, typified dense silica polymorphs zeotypes referred Z-POMOFs. use analogy...

Methyl parathion (MP) is a very toxic organophosphate pesticide used as non-systematic insecticide and acaricide on many corps. As MP its by-products are highly toxic, they have to be retained avoid pollution of rivers lakes. Highly efficient sorbents hydrotalcites (HTs) (or anionic clays). We correlated the degradation an aqueous solution at room temperature, with basicity adsorbing materials. It was found that metal composition determines both surface electronic properties (basic or...

This work presents two easy ways for preparing nanostructured mesoporous composites by interconnecting and combining SBA-15 with mixed oxides derived from a calcined Mg-Al hydrotalcite. Two different hydrotalcite addition procedures were implemented, either after or during the synthesis (in situ method). The first procedure, i.e., post-synthesis method, produces composite material homogeneously dispersed on nanoporous surface. resulting present textural properties similar to SBA-15. On other...

Microwave irradiated lamellar double hydroxides containing different divalent metals (Mn2+, Zn2+, or Mg2+) were prepared with Al3+ as the trivalent metal. Samples Mn2+ and Zn2+ unstable at 400 °C, leading to formation of mixed oxides spinel phases. Acid−base properties samples characterized by nitromethane CO2 adsorption followed FTIR spectroscopy. Decomposition adsorbed leads isocyanate species that acts probe molecules acid−base sites surface. These determine ability materials retain CO2....

Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and p-xylene (BTEX) are hazardous volatile organic compounds mostly released from fuel combustion, paint gas emissions, biomass burning. In this work, it is studied the BTEX sorption influence on surface reactivity of a new kind nanoporous composite, prepared via an in situ functionalization SBA-15 with Mg-Al calcined hydrotalcite (HTC). During its preparation, Mg/Al mixed oxides indeed formed dispersed non-blockage porosity. Furthermore, physicochemical...

Abstract Ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) was performed to extract the total phenolic compounds from avocado ( Persea americana Mill. var. Drymifolia; Lauraceae) leaves with different electric powers (UAE 0%, UAE 60%, and 100%) times. Ultrasonic parameters were optimized by using a mathematical model made stepwise regression (SWR) for determination of maximum content (TPC) their antioxidant activity. Moreover, TPC modeled applying heterogeneous models elucidate involved mechanisms...

The electrochemical behavior of synthetic binary, Zn-Al and Mn-Al, ternary (Zn-Mn)-Al hydrotalcites (HT) was studied by cyclic voltammetry in alkaline conditions (pH≡12). HT characterization revealed two irreversible continuous oxidation processes: i) Zn0|Zn2+ ii) Zn0|ZnO. On the other hand, binary containing Mn presented a reversible for oxidation-reduction process Mn4+|Mn3+. same processes were observed HT. However, variations reduction-oxidation detected XRD as result spinel formation....
