New paradigms in education have led to a need for alternative methodologies the higher classroom. An educational game on molecular geometry, polarity, and intermolecular forces engineering students general chemistry course was designed implemented. The results showed that effective reconstructing students' knowledge, demonstrating games can serve as useful pedagogical tool education.
A lignin sample was extracted from Eucalyptus grandis sawdust, by the Klason method, and used as adsorbent for removal of methylene blue (MB) aqueous solutions. By using a set complementary analytical tools, appeared to be constituted oxygenated functional groups aromatic moieties, while showing specific surface area 20 m2 g−1 polydisperse particles. Different experimental conditions with various solid liquid ratio, pH, well other external parameters were investigated MB sample. The...
Wound infections are the main complication when treating skin wounds. This work reports a novel antimicrobial material using green synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) incorporated in polymeric fibers for wound healing purposes. ZnONPs promising nanomaterial with high activity against range of microorganisms, including drug-resistant bacteria. The electrospun were obtained polyacrylic acid (PAA) and polyallylamine hydrochloride (PAH) loaded from Ilex paraguariensis leaves spherical...
Studies on elemental analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and thermal decomposition (thermogravimetry, TG; derivative thermogravimetry, DTG) of sedimentary fulvic (FA) humic acids (HA) from marine, estuarine, lacustrine terrestrial environments are presented. In general, H/C N/C atomic ratios, as well the spectra, reflected extent influence algal and/or organic matter sources samples, aquatic (both, marine freshwater) substances (HS) being richer in nitrogen more...
Diseases caused by infections are becoming harder to treat as the antibiotics used become less effective. A combination of strategies develop active biomaterials that enhance antibacterial effects desirable, especially ones cause fewer side and promote healing properties. The nanotechnology with substances have intrinsic activity can result in advance innovative biomedical materials. In this sense, goal work is provide a summary natural rubber latex materials obtained from Hevea brasiliensis...
ABSTRACT This study provides a comprehensive investigation of antimicrobial additives (ZnO/AgNPs and SiO 2 /AgNPs) on the properties biodegradable ternary blends composed poly(hydroxybutyrate) (PHB), poly(lactic acid) (PLA), polycaprolactone (PCL) by examining morphology, thermal stability, crystallinity index, cell viability these blends. Overall, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis revealed that AgNPs exhibited comparable sizes, whereas ZnO was significantly larger, which...
Technological innovations can offer a multitude of benefits to modern society; however, they often fail fully address the desired requirements for specific applications, particularly when considering environmental impacts solid waste. Expanded polystyrene (EPS) waste exemplifies this challenge, highlighting urgent need innovative and effective solutions existing gaps in conventional technologies. In regard, chemical dissolution methods using organic solvents emerge as viable approach polymer...
