Alkaline proteases have applications in numerous industries. In this study, we isolated and screened proteolytic bacteria from poultry wastes mixed soil identified two bacterial isolates as Bacillus subtilis AKAL7 Exiguobacterium indicum AKAL11 based on 16S rDNA sequencing. Maximum level of protease production was achieved after 24 h fermentation a basal medium. The optimal temperature, initial pH the media agitation for alkaline by these were 30 °C, 9.0 120 rpm, respectively. both produced...
Objective: This study aimed to assess the genetic parameters and accuracy of genomic predictions for twenty-four linear body conformation traits overall scores in Korean Holstein dairy cows. Methods: A dataset 2,206 Holsteins was collected, genotyping performed using Illumina Bovine 50K single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) chip. The investigated included (stature, height at front end, chest width, depth, angularity, condition score, locomotion), rump (rump angle, loin strength), feet leg...
This study aimed to identify genetic associations with carcass traits in Hanwoo cattle using a genome-wide association study. A total of 9302 phenotypes were analyzed, and all animals genotyped the Illumina Bovine 50K v.3 SNP chip. Heritabilities for weight (CWT), eye muscle area (EMA), backfat thickness (BF), marbling score (MS) estimated as 0.42, 0.36, 0.47, respectively, GBLUP model, 0.37, Bayes B model. We identified 129 common SNPs DGEBV 118 GEBV on BTA6, BTA13, BTA14, suggesting their...
The objective of this study was to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) and nearby candidate genes that influence body conformation traits. Phenotypic data for 24 traits were collected from a population 2329 Korean Holstein cattle, all animals genotyped using the 50 K Illumina bovine SNP chip. A total genome-wide significant SNPs associated with identified by association analysis. selection most promising based on gene ontology (GO) terms previously functions various as determined in our...
Objective A whole genome association study was conducted to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) with additive and dominant effects for growth carcass traits in Korean native cattle, Hanwoo. Methods The data set comprised 61 sires their 486 Hanwoo steers that were born between spring of 2005 fall 2007. genotyped the 35,968 SNPs embedded Illumina bovine SNP 50K beadchip six quality measured steers. series lack-of-fit tests models applied classify gene expression pattern as or...
Abstract. To study the environmental and genetic factors affecting productive reproductive traits, data on 5,897 cows from five main recorded herds (for 1964–2004) of Sahiwal cattle in Pakistan were used. A general linear model was applied data. The 305-day milk yield, total lactation length, age at first calving, dry period, calving interval service period averaged 1,393 ± 12 kg, 1,429 11 235 2, 1,390 4, 244 3, 464 3 1,78 days, respectively. effected by herd, year season birth. yields...
Aim:The present study was undertaken to know the Prevalence of chicken coccidiosis in Jammu division both organized and backyard chickens during year 2010-11. Materials Methods:A total 720 faecal samples were collected from farms poultry (unorganized) sector Jammu. Results:The overall prevalence 39.58% recorded five Eimeria species identified viz., E. tenella, necatrix, maxima, acervulina mitis.E. tenella predominant unorganized farms. Conclusion:Higher 53.61% (backyard birds) as compared...

Bartonella bacilliformis, a causative agent of Bartonellosis or Carrión's disease, has become resistant to antibacterial agents. To suggest effective novel drug targets, comprehensive in silico subtractive genomic approach was employed the genome B. bacilliformis subsp. ver097. Different bioinformatics tools and online servers were utilized determine human homologous proteins pathogen, as well associated with common metabolic pathways pathogen host. Only seven specific pathways, which...
The objective of the present study was to evaluate breeding value and accuracy genomic estimated values (GEBVs) carcass traits in Jeju Black cattle (JBC) using Hanwoo steers JBC as a reference population single-trait animal model. Our research included genotype phenotype information on 19,154 with 1097 acting population. Likewise, test consisted 418 genotyped individuals no phenotypic records for those traits. For estimating GEBV, we divided entire into three groups. make up first group;...
The experiment was conducted with forty four pre-pubertal stages female lambs of 12.5±2.5 kg average live weight and 7.5±0.5 months age. Animals were equally randomly allocated into two feeding groups, intensive semi-intensive systems 22 animals in each group. Under system, fed concentrate mixture (15.0% crude protein (CP); 11 MJ metabolizable energy (ME)/kg dry matter (DM)) at the rate 1.5% ad libitum green grass from May to November supplied urea molasses straw (UMS) place December April....
The study was conducted aiming at the isolation and identification of Salmonella Escherichia coli (E. coli) from different brands poultry feeds sold in Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Seven were subjected to microbiological analysis. All these samples analyzed by culturing media such as nutrient broth (NB), Agar (NA), SS (Salmonella-Shigella Agar), BGA (brilliant-green Mac Conkey, DHL EMB (eosin methylene blue) media. Total bacterial colonies all counted separately on Hence, bacteria 9.5×105 feed...
Aim: A seroprevalence study of brucellosis in sheep was conducted from April 2010 to 2012 both organized and unorganized sectors the Kashmir valley. Materials Methods:A total 6615 sera samples were tested by Rose Bengal Plate test (RBPT) Standard Tube Agglutination Test (STAT). Results:The overall seropositivity revealed 6.50 % prevalence brucellosis.Higher (14.14%) recorded sector as compared (3.23%).
Data on 1,037 Nili-Ravi buffaloes from four institutional herds were used to study lifetime milk yield, herd life, productive life and breeding efficiency.A general linear model was the environmental effects while an animal having herd, year of birth age at first calving (as covariate) along with random effect estimate values. The efficiency averaged 7,723±164 kg, 3,990±41 days, 1,061±19 days 64 percent, respectively. All traits significantly (p<0.01)affected by calving, also affected (p<0.01)...
