The performance of Thomson Seedless on Dogridge, 110R, 140RU and 1103P rootstocks along with own rooted vine for growth yield parameters during 2023-24 was studied. varied significantly among rootstocks. Dogridge rootstock recorded highest pruning weight (1.25 kg/vine) 34 canes per vine, while, it also exhibited maximum percentage fruitful (96.50%), shoot length (129.30 cm) leaf area (173.60 cm²). In terms yield, outperformed other rootstocks, number bunches (35.00), average bunch (321.10...

Ayurveda’s Dinacharya, or daily routine, is a methodical way to achieve holistic health and well-being by coordinating personal routines with the day’s natural cycles. This approach, which based on concepts of Tridosha (vāta, pitta, kapha) circadian rhythms, prioritises lifestyle discipline preventative healthcare. Among activities in regimen are awakening during Brahma Muhurta, mindful eating, vyayama (exercise), abhyanga (oil massage), hygiene. These practices seek improve immunity,...

Current DNA extraction protocols, which require liquid nitrogen, lyophilization and considerable infrastructure in terms of instrumentation, often impede the application biotechnological tools less researched crops laboratories developing countries. We modified optimized existing CTAB method for plant genomic by avoiding nitrogen usage lyophilization.DNA was extracted directly from freshly harvested leaves ground pre-heated buffer.Chloroform:isoamyl alcohol (24:1) RNase treatments followed...

A field experiment was conducted for three years (2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22) on 4 old guava orchard established at 3×2 m spacing with drip irrigation treatments two locations viz. Udaipur Rajasthan and, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Plant growth, yield contributing parameters, fruit water use efficiency significantly affected by different pan evaporation-based levels (70, 80, 90 & 100% of Epan) over local control. In existing climatic conditions Rewa regions, the daily requirement...

Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. punicae (Xap) causes bacterial blight disease in pomegranates, often leading to 60–80% economic loss. In absence of a suitable Xap-resistant variety, the near-monoculture susceptible Bhagwa, has aggravated problem further. recent times, Xap spread different geographical regions, indicating wide adaptability pathogen. Moreover, lower sensitivity towards streptocycline containing streptomycin sulphate and tetracycline (9:1) under field conditions is frequently...

Fungal pathogens are a major constraint affecting the quality of pomegranate production around world. Among them, Alternaria and Colletotrichum species cause leaf spot, fruit spot or heart rot (black rot), (anthracnose) calyx end rot, respectively. Accurate identification disease-causing fungal is essential for developing suitable management practices. Therefore, characterization isolates representing different geographical regions, predominantly Maharashtra-the Indian hub export-was carried...

Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) is an important fruit crop, rich in fiber, vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and source of different biologically active compounds. The bacterial blight caused by Xanthomonas axonopodispv. punicae a serious threat to the crop leading 60-80% yield loss under epiphytotic conditions. In this work, we have generated comparative transcriptome profile mark gene expression signatures during resistance susceptible interactions. We analyzed leaf fruits samples...

Wild species or crop wild relatives (CWRs) provide a unique opportunity to introduce novel traits and expand the genetic base of cultivated pigeonpea (Bohra et al. 2010, 2020). Among pigeonpea, Cajanus scarabaeoides is cross-compatible with (C. cajan). To identify resistant sources for use in breeding, present study was conducted using 79 accessions at ICAR-Indian Institute Pulses Research, Kanpur, India during 2016-17 2017-18 (Figures 1 b). The belonged three different genera Cajanus,...

Pomegranate bacterial blight caused by Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. punicae (Xap) is a highly destructive disease. In the absence of host resistance to disease, we aimed evaluate biocontrol potential endophytic bacteria against Xap. Thus, in this study, isolated endophytes from pomegranate plants, identified them on basis 16S rDNA sequencing, tested Xap, and estimated endophyte-mediated defense response. The population ranged 3 × 106 8 107 CFU/g tissue. Furthermore, 26 isolates were evaluated...
