Abstract This review presents the most important research on alternative polymer membranes with ionic groups attached, provides examples of materials a well-defined chemical structure that are described in literature. Furthermore, it elaborates synthetic methods used for preparing PEMs, current status fuel cell technology and its application. It also briefly discusses development PEMFC market.

New gem-difluoroalkenes were synthesized by the dehydrofluorination of corresponding 4-CF3-β-lactams. An unexpected rearrangement mechanism ester moiety dependent on a stabilizing negative charge was observed. Hydrogenation to 4-CHF2-β-lactams successful from gem-difluoro-β-lactams.

A kinetic study of the effect fluorine substitution on rates and regiochemistry hex-5-enyl radical cyclization is reported. Tetrapeptide p-nitroanilides containing (E)-dehydrophenylalanine were synthesized and evaluated as inhibitors substrates of cathepsin C. Peptides a free, unblocked amino group appeared to be quite good the enzyme, whereas fully protected peptides acted very weak inhibitors. Structural studies by means NMR CD, alongside with molecular modelling, have proved that these are hydrolysed in one step direct removal p-nitroaniline from tetrapeptide.
We report a simple protocol for the synthesis of α‐fluoro‐β‐aminophosphonates by regioselective fluorination α‐hydroxy‐β‐aminophosphonates under mild conditions. The reactions were mediated PyFluor reagent and occurred with retention configuration. main products this reaction series α‐fluoro‐β‐aminophosphonates, which can be used as precursors in preparation medicinally important compounds (e.g., dipeptide analogues).
A one-step, regioselective procedure to an unexplored class of isoxazolines and isoxazoles bearing a difluoromethyl phosphonate group is reported.
Abstract 19 F NMR chemical shifts and coupling constants are given for a series of aryl (phenyl, naphthyl phenanthryl) substituted trifluorovinyls ( E )‐ Z )‐perfluoropropenyls. The relationship between the configurational orientation perfluoroalkenyl substituents is discussed.
