Weltweit wächst der Eintrag von Kunststoffen in die Umwelt. Da bestehenden Regulierungen zur Eindämmung des Problems nicht ausreichen, muss ständig steigende Kunststoffproduktion und -nutzung insgesamt reduziert werden. Es bedarf eines systemischen Ansatzes, alle Akteure Verantwortung nimmt, Kunststoffprodukte -verpackungen produzieren, nutzen, recyceln entsorgen sowie damit handeln. Die Politik den nötigen Paradigmenwechsel vorantreiben eine gesamtgesellschaftliche Suffizienzdebatte ermöglichen.
