The Scherrer equation is a widely used tool to determine the crystallite size of polycrystalline samples. However, it not clear if one can apply large sizes because its derivation based on kinematical theory X-ray diffraction. For and perfect crystals, more appropriate use dynamical Because appearance materials with high degree crystalline perfection sizes, authors' belief that important establish limit for which be applied. In this work, diffraction peak profiles are calculated using...

SrTiO3 crystalline nanoparticles were prepared using the microwave-assisted hydrothermal method at 140 °C with synthesis times varying from 4 to 160 min. Sample characterization showed that is effective in obtaining a relatively short time, which have highest photoluminescence emission. The phase of perovskite-type not significantly influenced by time. However, already obtained min Also, all samples exhibited room temperature blue-green region, where intensity decreased increasing time and...

Abstract The bone‐induction capacity of a porous biphasic calcium phosphate (pBCP) using heterotopic implantation in mouse (mHI‐model) and its efficacy as substitute for autograft mandibular critical‐size defect rabbit (rabMCSD‐model) was investigated. In mHI‐model, pBCP implanted into the thigh muscles bone formation histomorphometrically immunohistochemically evaluated. rabMCSD‐model, 13 mm defects were treated with or repair comparatively evaluated by radiographic histomorphometric...
