Five experimental diets were formulated to evaluate the effects of dietary enzymatically hydrolyzed tuna by-product on growth, non-specific immune responses, and hematology juvenile rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). A basal diet with 50% fishmeal was used as control (CON) four other replaced 12.5% (TBB12.5), 25% (TBB25), 37.5% (TBB37.5), (TBB50) fish meal in CON diet. Juvenile (4.87 ± 0.05 g) randomly distributed into 15 tanks (50 L) fed 3–4% wet body weight two times a day. At end 7...

Three different dietary additives were evaluated based on growth performance, innate immune responses and disease resistance in juvenile Amur catfish Silurus asotus. Four diets prepared by supplementing 0.4% Song-gang® stone (SG), 0.05% Yucca meal (YM), β-glucan (BG) combination with 0.04% SG BG (SG + BG) to a basal commercial diet (control; CONT). Triplicate groups of fish averaging 4.95 ± 0.05 g fed one the test between 3 5% body weight for 8 weeks. At end feeding trial, gain, specific...

A feeding trial was conducted to determine the optimum level and effect of incremental dietary levels docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3) on growth non-specific immune responses in juvenile rock bream, Oplegnathus fasciatus. basal diet without DHA supplementation used as a control, six other diets were prepared by supplementing with 4, 8, 12, 16, 20 or 40 g kg−1 DHA. These included no eicosapentaenoic and/or arachidonic contents. The actual concentrations 1, 4.8, 8.9, 13.1, 17.6, 21.2 41.4...

A feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of two different sizes extruded pellets (EP) (EP1 - 3 mm or EP2 5 mm) and a moist pellet (MP) in olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, reared semi-recirculation system. total 450 fish with an average initial weight 5.0 ± 0.2 g (mean SD) were fed one three experimental diets triplicate groups. At end 6-week trial, gain, specific growth rate, feed efficiency EP significantly higher than those MP (P < 0.05). Water quality parameters like...

The control of bacterial pathogens, including Edwardsiella piscicida, in the aquaculture industry has high economic importance. This study aimed to identify a potential live vaccine candidate against E. piscicida infection minimize side effects and elicit immunity host. evaluated virulence factors CK108, with special focus on flagella. two important homologous flagellin genes, namely flagellin-associated protein (fap) domain-containing (fdp). CK226 (Δfap), CK247 (Δfdp) CK248 (Δfap, fdp)...
