Abstract Di‐ and trinuclear complexes of copper(I) bearing bis‐ or tris‐N‐heterocyclic carbene ligands have been prepared evaluated as catalysts in nitrene transfer reactions from PhI=NTs to unsaturated saturated substrates (olefin aziridination C–H bond amidation) diazo compounds olefins. The exhibited moderate‐to‐high catalytic activity both processes. tosylamidation bonds, previously unreported with a NHC‐containing copper catalyst, was promoted by the dinuclear complexes.

Abstract Novel iridium(III) di‐NHC complexes have been synthesized by transmetalation of the dicarbene ligand from corresponding silver complex. The complex [IrClCp*(di‐NHC)](PF 6 ) ( 2 ; = 1,1′‐dimethyl‐3,3′‐ethylenediimidazole‐2,2′‐diylidene) behaves as an efficient catalyst for oxidation water using Ce IV or NaIO 4 sacrificial oxidants, reaching a TOF 0.20 s –1 , comparable with most active catalysts reported in literature. Complex also displays remarkable catalytic activity...

OBJECTIVE To compare the prognostic performance of an artificial neural network (ANN) with that standard logistic regression (LR), in patients undergoing radical cystectomy for bladder cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS From February 1982 to 1994, 369 evaluable non‐metastatic cancer had pelvic lymph node dissection and either stage Ta‐T1 (any grade) tumour not responding intravesical therapy, or no carcinoma situ , T2–T4 tumour. LR analysis based on 12 variables was used identify predictors...

Light-driven water oxidation is achieved with the Ru(bpy)32+/S2O82- cycle employing highly active Ir-blue catalyst, namely, an IrIV,IV2(pyalc)2 μ-oxo-dimer [pyalc = 2-(2'-pyridyl)-2-propanoate]. readily formed by stepwise of monomeric Ir(III) precursor 1 photogenerated Ru(bpy)33+, a quantum yield ϕ up to 0.10. Transient absorption spectroscopy and kinetic evidence point mechanism, where primary event occurs via fast photoinduced electron transfer from leading Ir(IV) monomer I1 (k1 ∼ 108 M-1...

A practical guide to different feeding tubes available for nutritional support in children, focused on indications, placement methods and complications.Enteral refers the delivery of nutrition into gastrointestinal tract distal oesophagus. Different are exclusive or supplemental children who unable independently sustain their own growth, hydration status. Gastric is first choice; however, jejunal provides a good alternative route presence contraindications intolerance. Feeding can be short...

Abstract Four ruthenium(II) N‐heterocyclic dicarbene complexes of general formula [Ru{MeIm(CH 2 ) n ImMe} (RCN) ][PF 6 ] ( 1 : = 1, R Me; Ph; 3 2, 4 MeIm 3‐methylimidazol‐2‐yliden‐1‐yl) have been synthesised by transmetalation the ligand from a silver complex with [RuCl (COD)] x (COD 1,5‐cyclooctadiene) or p ‐cymene)] as ruthenium precursors. The relative position coordinated nitrile molecules cis trans depends on group that links two carbene moieties: methylene bridge affords isomer,...

Abstract Introduction Our aim is to compare thoracoscopy thoracotomy in the treatment of congenital lung malformations (CLM) children. Materials and Methods We report a retrospective monocentric cohort study. Patients treated at our Center for CLM (1991–2020) were divided two groups: patients with video‐assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) open (OT). Characteristics groups compared through statistical analysis (GraphPad Prism7). A p value less than .05 was considered statistically...
